2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Thread - Preseason Finale vs Spurs

I hate the way this team plays basketball. They just make it so easy for the other teams

Harden's hot and still down. Everything's just so easy for Memphis when you play a team that isn't boxing out and just not playing good defense

Smh smh. Calvin Murphy is basically saying everything I'm thinking, other than the "give Dwight the ball" stuff. Damn shame we're 5 games under .500. These guys are just not doing the fundamental things you should be doing as a team. They're not boxing out, not guarding the perimeter, forcing shots, and overall, straight up being a sorry bball team. Real frustrating to watch.

Were in a real dark place right now.... Kinda wanna tank and let dwight walk and kinda wanna see this team do what's it's capable off and stop screwing around.

Played 2 minutes :x there has to be a way to get him involved and use him the way he's supposed to. I had watched highlights of him and Curry going toe to toe two from 2 years ago, and I don't even recognize this current guy right now

why haven't we started thornton again. going small is the only thing that's worked

I'm puzzled by that too. he was clearly comfortable starting when TJ was out, and provided the floor spacing that you needed. Now that he's back on the bench, he hasn't done much when his number has been called. Also, Brewer and KJ should be flip flopping throughout the game. You gave KJ a three year contract, there's no reason he should be rotting on the bench when Brewer is stinking it up. Another thing, there's no reason Capela should have only played 8 minutes, especially when Howard played 40, but was limited through turnovers and offensive boards.

Look at this trash.

Chalmers & Tony Allen on the box score doesn't say much, but if you watched the game, you saw the open easy layups they got. Also, Gasol was the only one that played heavy minutes. Meanwhile, Harden couldn't even get any rest cause our bench was miserable and didn't factor into anything. Look at Brewer, 26 minutes and only 5 point. Jones, 20 minutes and a pathetic 4 points. Hardly anything from Bev, and Howard/Ariza/Howard all logging basically 40 minutes. This team sucks.

Rockets are underachieving and reeling with no momentum. Sixers are the worst team (record wise) in the league. The Sixers also have 4 former Rockets players. I'll be totally disgusted if we lose this.

"Lucifer lingers around…" (6-10)

errr good game fellas?

 :smh: Harden had to score 50 just to win by two. It was basically a hotly contested game throughout. This is sad  we were even down by 6-7 at a critical point. Team stinks.

I agree; can't believe how bad this team is. Hands down the most underachieving squad in the L. If the rockets aren't above .500 by the all-star break we are looking at a lost season.

One thing, are Covington and Canaan solid players now because of growth and the opportunity to play, or just because the Sixers suck that bad? If it's the former, both need to be back here  specifically Covington

DMo is basically supposed to be what Porzingis has been so far. I really hope he can come back looking like that, whenever that is

DMo went from supposed to be out for only a few days to having back surgery

Was he originally checked out by a high school trainer or what?

That's what it seems like  this team has an almost Patriot-like attitude when it comes to injuries. I think last year in the middle of the season I saw "breaking news: Dwight Howard out indefinitely" scroll on the ticker, I **** myself, and then he only missed like 3 games at that time
