Don't know if there's a player fan base that rides harder for them than the Legion of Luck

Yikes. Quote of the week is open season on posters that post poor takes. I like it. Putting people on blast is important to improve the quality of takes imo.

Luck gonna play a dozen more years. There's no right, or wrong, in year 4.

People were killin Cam 2-3 years ago.
Dalton was/is garbage
Kap was the best of that class........

2015? Not so much.

He's havin a ROUGH 2015 after havin a tremendous 2014. Ebbs and flows folks.

Brady used to be a game manager, now he's an assassin.

#RElax.

we talking about today though ... and your mans is BUNS right now ...

12 years from now is irrelevant ... and this is not supposed to be the case for the best prospect since Elway ... as much as i hate Dalton and am still not convinced ... he doesn't warrant being compared to Luck, neither does Kap ...

Those weren't guys expected to be very best in a generation

The Dolphins have beaten the Texans and Titans.  We've seen how that division can make a QB look much better than he is.  Let's pump the breaks on the Fins for a minute.

Was gonna say the same. I'd even say people should pump the brakes on the Tannehill praise. I watched/suffered throughout that entire game, and that was a dead on Alex Smith impression. Out of those 25 or so passes he threw, there were easily 22 that were simply pitches to the RB or WR screens. Jarvis Landry should be the one getting all the credit.

Interesting.

Cuz he threw one WR screen. For 8-9 yards.

Threw a TE screen. That lost yards.
Threw a RB screen, that was the home run to Miller.

Threw the slant to Matthews, a 18-20 yard PA out to Landry, the crosser to Landry, the deep ball to Parker that was nullified, and a couple 10-12 yarders to Cameron.

The other WR screen that was called was covered, he tucked it and ran.

And he didn't attempt 25 passes yesterday.

The last 7 vs Tennessee were the deep ball to Stills from his own end zone, the post to Matthews, and another strike to Landry for 12-14. (And a short TD to Sims)

WR screens tho, A Smith.

You know what, I actually included his completion record in that, my mistake on that part  still, the WRs did most of the work, as he hardly threw downfield. It was basically a replay of the Texans/Chiefs game, except I actually saw effort against the Chiefs

Elway, Favre, Peyton, Marino, ALL had rough years. All of them.

This is that (apparently) for Luck. Key is, will he bounce back (I suspect he will) or will he fold?

Elway, Favre, Peyton, Marino all bounced back from rough times.

**** I just pointed that out to finnns. Dan was 5K, 48, 109 rate in 84, year 2. Age 25.

In 88 or 89, older, wiser Dan had 4K, 24 TD, 22 INT, and a 77 rating.

I wouldn't think that means he was washed 3-4 years later, just had a down year. Maybe that's what we're seein from Luck this year.

Next 3 games, 6-0 Carolina, 6-0 Denver, 6-1 Atlanta. Yep, down year for sure.
They about to be 3-7. Let's hope the Colts trade Luck cuz he's the one holdin them back from greatness. :nerd:

I think for all of Luck's hype, seeing him make the mistakes that he is at this point in his career is telling.

Doesn't Luck have the most turnovers in the league in the last year?

the reason his supporters go so hard is cuz he was anointed as the greatest QB prospect of all time. Nobody wants to look wrong.

Don't get me wrong, he's still really good and gaurantees a competitive team, but he gets unfair hype. He came into the league with weapons all around and Arians. Cam has no weapons and you're not going to convice me that Cam or Russ have a better oline than Luck. So why are people who supported Luck before he did ****, so quick to **** on Russ or Cam?

Tavon Austin is a bust so far. I'll still stand by that.

He started in a Schottty system. Lol So yeah he had no chance early on to exploit his talents. He had virtually no chance to thrive.
He is by no means a #1 WR but he doesn't get hardly any opportunities that a man of his significant skill set should get.
Going to a Jeff Fisher led team also doesn't help a satellite guy like him

Cam throws 3 picks, and wins, I hear MVP bein chanted.
Russ throws 4 picks, including in the final 5 minutes of the game, I hear "Winner"

Cam's team does their jobs, backs their QB, gives up 16 points.
Russ's team does their jobs, backs their QB, (facing the MVP) and gives up 19, despite 5 turnovers.

Luck throws 2 picks, down 27-0, and he's overrated..........

Somethin not addin up here.

You know what the difference is? You didn't anoint them as the second coming of Jesus when they stepped in the league.

When you made statements like this...

They(Luck, Elway, Manning) are expected, yes, EXPECTED to win multiple titles, they were and are, that great

....it's kind of easy to make you look foolish in the light. You can pull up as many advanced INT metrics you got, but point blank, he isn't looking like the 2nd coming of anything right now and hasn't.

Stop making excuses....

Put away the anointing oil.."

Peyton and Elway also had zero titles in their year 4's.

Luck has plenty of time. You guys speak like his career is wrapped up and he's a finished product.

But Khalil Mack is overrated...
Go back and look at my posts.  My comment about him being overrated mostly has to do with his pass rushing.  People were saying he was an elite pass rusher and one of the best in the game.  Now check what you just posted.

I still think he is overrated though.   But overrated doesn't mean he isn't good.

People said he was overrated? I thought the general sentiment both on here and the general media was that he's very much one of the top LBs in the league, if not #1?
So let me ask you this Peep.  You said the general sentiment on here and the media is one of the top LBs in the league if not #1.  You are correct.  It was.

Now let me ask you.  Do you think Mack is one of the top LBs in the league, if not #1?

I think he is a good young talent that could develop into that, but as of right now, he absolutely is not.  He is still young, and has great measurable and looks like he will one day be great.  I just don't see that yet.

It doesn't matter if Mack is #1 or not. The real question is how long is going to play in the NFL? With the way the league is heading and how physically and mentally demanding the LB position is, I wouldn't be surprised he makes past 8-9 years.
