5th Grade Teacher Dresses in Blackface for Halloween

while it may be a separate issue there actually is a history of racist caricature in this country depicting asians in the most negative light
this is true.

and i agree it doesn't have to be intentional for something to be ignorant, offensive, and racist.

I don't hate my people, but I think majority of African Americans are ignorant and embarrassing. African Americans are mostly arrogant and think they represent the black race solely and they dont. There's a reason why African Americans are shunned by black people in other countries, I've been told I'm not black because I don't have an American accent.

Raven Symone right here.

Self hate is real.:smh:

you said because he is from the Uk he probably doesn't acknowledge his "blackness"

like thats a thing...black people from the Uk don't think their black.

maybe i read it wrong...but it seems like thats the stereotype you are pushing

the sentences are not connected either.

@Dathbgboy
in all seriousness, why didn't people care about RDJ in Tropic Thunder?

I feel undecided on this whole thing.

I don't think he dressed like that to declare his racism.

I just think a lot of white people are ignorant and sheltered from what they do.

Which is part of the problem to begin with.

People did to a point at first glance but then the context changed the perception if that makes sense. Context is always key.

I hate the term 'african american' btw.
Co-sign.

Dudes just be saying stuff like we haven't had that specific topic discussed on this site before.

Wow. I wouldn't even bother with anyone that starts off with that.

it's essentially victim blaming. it's a racist's way of saying won't you just shut up and be happy.
But I'm black, how is that a racial?

To be honest, I'm not sure if people outside of NT know about the history of blackface. If it weren't for NT I wouldn't know about it, and I still don't .
When I see someone dressed as blackface, I don't assume their doing it with bad intentions, unless they're portraying Trayvon or Mike Brown, or one of the other good kids that have been lost due to trigger happy idiots in this world. If someone dresses up as Trayvon, that would really piss me off.

At the same time, if I or a a white friend were dressing up as Eazy E for Halloween, there would also be no need for painting my face black. The Locs, Raiders hat, flannel and wig should be enough to get the costume across .
Educate me fam cause all I'm seeing people say you don't know the history and then not explaining it. I agree it's offensive, but I don't know the history

don't ask him. he once got caught wishing to see black people hanging from trees then back peddled and said he was quoting a song

the irony of the last comment

some of the biggest haters of black people are black people like you

This isn't the first time I've seen you make this type of outlandish statement.

Crabs in a barrel. Blacks hate blacks who succeed

One minute you're capin for us then the next minute you're spreading stereotypes. Tell us how you really feel.
