Anyone else feel that JB's flightplate is overrated?

Am i the only one who feels that Flightplate has been hyped up by review sites a bit too much?  I personally have and balled in melo m10s, xx8s, and m11s but feel like the zoom, while I know its there, is not that bouncy at all?  I can barely feel it spring back, and that is supposed to be the purpose of the flightplate, to unlock the zoom.

Dont get me wrong, my landings have been superb, but it doesnt feel special at all.  Heck, its almost invisible on the heel that JB actually decided to REMOVE the zoom bag from the heel and nobody complained about it.

To even say that its the greatest cushioning set up or a game changer is just...wrong.  IMO, nothing can ever come close to the cush of the flightposite III, double stacked zoom INSOLE.  Is this due to the lower quality zoom bags that nike has been producing?

I don't own any shoes with flightplate and I feel that way. They hype so called new "tech" everytime. To me it doesn't really seem like new tech at all... rather just stripping down existing stuff and claiming it's the greatest thing since sliced bread with amazing benefits... like you mentioned with the heel zoom. Not many people share this opinion but I don't feel there is a whole lot left you can do with  a bball shoe. The new features rarely ever stick now days because there aren't many huge innovations to be made. mostly just gimmicks/experiments that end up being a hassle. idk just my opinion I'm not a stickler when it comes to basketball shoes anymore. I used to engage in JB's mind games about their new tech but really as long as a shoe has support, good traction, and some cushioning that's all I really need. Don't need my zoom cooking me eggs and bacon in the morning
