**Official Jadakiss Top 5 Dead Or Alive Thread Nov 20th 2015 *You Can See ft. Future Out Now**

I previewed the track with Styles last night and iTunes and was like this just is we gon make it part II

I always hope for more with Jada but he's not even the best in the LOX..we all know who is

Styles has been the best LOX member for more than a decade

I agree... He needs an A&R for that. But at the same time its also the things that go on behind the curtains that we dont see that always interfere with the music coming out in its purest or best form besides releasing on mixtapes

The album is sequenced like a tape to me. Side A is different from side B. It goes down to me after Synergy. It seems like on the second half he's experimenting.

It also sounds sort of dated in places, like Akon and the skits. There's also too many features. After six years, there should be more solo Jada.

I like the song with Akon, but the sound is a lil dated sounds like something dre would have gave em or 50 back in the day

couldnt make it through this album...

i think i got up to track 9 and hadnt heard nothing i liked. at that point i was just like why

Wassup with Kiss best selection man? He should let Diddy pick his beats or something. A lot of these beats don't fit him at all.

Jada said in a interview he didn't want to make a whole album that doesn't sound like the older days, so he balanced it out making more modern hip hop.

Jadakiss is lucky he came out in the east coast's heyday. Had his career started 10 years later, he would've been done after about 18 months.

He simply cannot make songs fans of hip-hop or urban music as a whole are interested in hearing on the regular.

There's no reason he couldn't have at least had Fab's career. Or even Cam.

**** Jim Jones has a better discography. :smh:

I don't think Jada has the work ethic.

When he was talking about his music on Combat, talking about he needs life experiences. I was wondering what diverse and deep subject matter does he discuss.

He's the anti-Styles, Styles will drop two indie projects a year. Some of them will come out of nowhere.

I don't think Jada even tours like Fab does either.

Though I don't completely agree with this, I'm picturing Jadakiss coming out in 06/07 and wow...he probably would've been Saigon or Tru-Life  (and I actually listen to Saigon)

First 48

Kill

Critical

Realest in the Game

Aint Nothing New

(That's all I need off this project. Not saying those are the only joints I like on the project, but they're the ones I really fool with. Solid project in my opinion.)

Add Jason and You Don't Eat to that, and I agree. I feel like he would've been better off trimming it down to 12-14 tracks. Album is not bad though.

jada problem is that he aint a songwriter, he's a spitter. a pure spitter.

a lotta spitters just cant write a dope song. (cass/budden/canibus/jada etc)

cant write a decent song, cant make a decent album.

*shrugs*

finally listened, boring as hell, no replay value.  But happy for him none the less

Budden makes better songs than Jadakiss IMO.

Nore commented on how Def Jam did Jada and Jeezy.

They did the same to Ghostface and Redman a few years ago. Just throwing out albums before the end of the year to try to fight off layoffs and boost numbers for the year.

Kiss is definetly in the top 10.

Kiss might not even be the top emcee in his own clique. I think Styles got the edge.

As far as top 10....IDK if he's even top 20.....

20 rappers unarguably better than him no particular order.

1. Biggie
2. Rakim
3. Nas
4. Hov
5. Kool G Rap
6. KRS One
7. Mos Def
8. GZA
9. Ghostface
10. BDK
11. Big L
12. Pun
13. Slick Rick
14. Q-Tip
15. Raekwon
16. Eminem
17. Andre 3K
18. Scarface
19. Common
20. Guru

Then you consider contemporary artists like

J. Cole
Kendrick
Lupe
Jeezy
etc...

And then his contemporaries not mentioned in the top 20 like

Styles P
DMX
Method Man
Red Man
Talib Kweli
Beanie Sigel
Fabolous
Cam
Juelz
Lloyd Banks
etc...

And then it's like..........:\.

I mean I love Kiss, but he is what he is. A vicious emcee but not an artist. He can't craft together albums or storylines. He just lacks the nuances to be top-5 in really any aspect.
