Curious, just got done getting blitzed this past weekend and now I'm in the "I need to chill for awhile stage". Homies hit me up talking bout whats the move for NYE? I'm like man I prolly go sit this one out unless maybe a dope house party is on the table. Dudes look like at me like "who are you now?" I like partying and all that but man I feel like I been there done that. So curious if most peeps feel the same or are you still like I'm in these streets at every given moment I can?

27 fam so that's why I know I'm in that mindset. But I was just curious because the NYE topic had came up and I'm like dog we do the same stuff all the damn time. I get lit on random Fridays and Saturdays and don't gotta deal with a lot of people and spiked up prices.

Hmm I'm on a similar boat, been going out basically every weekend or whenever my schedule allows for it. I feel like I need it to maintain my sanity due to stressful weekdays but I'm also getting tired of doing the same things each time and deading my money

The moves are getting sort of repetitive (go bar hopping, hit this restaurant etc) but I'm only 23 and the squad is also trying to build their paths at this point so we ain't flexing too hard to do more exciting things I guess

I feel u bro.

At some point I realized doing the same thing to get to the same point doesn't really bring me any value to my life or happiness. I'm fine kicking back on the porch with my friends or family and just talking about life. I don't need other people to see it or see me doing it to have a good time.

Might not work for u but for me and my lady we are going to start searching on groupon deals or yelp reviews (haven't quite figured it out yet) to try things we wouldn't do other wise. I think as humans we just tend to do things we are comfortable with but its good to step out of the norm.

One example me and my brothers might do

Don't do any fake holidays: St. Patty's, Cinco, Halloween, etc. The only ones I actually go out on/do stuff are NYE, the night before Thanksgiving (counts as a holiday to me) and 4th of July.

Went hard for Halloween. I'm good until NYE. How do folks do this every weekend. It's Tuesday and I'm still hurting

I haven't done anything on NYE since 2007. I've never celebrated St. Patrick's Day in any shape or form.

The most banged up I've gotten over the fast few years has been at bachelor parties and weddings and maybe a couple of 4th of July's.

I did every weekend over the summer maybe 3 years ago and man it seemed fun during the time but that winter i sat back and was like damn i wasted a lot of money and a lot of time. :smh:

This is a good idea

I have a friend who ditched the party lifestyle and now he's heavy into mountain climbing, winter sports, camping, etc. That "Into the Wild" life, but he still works and stuff.

I party but not like college party lol.

I remember the previous night for example

I am actually thinking about going to Yellowstone over the winter with my brothers but i gotta get over the stigma that we are tropical people and its a "crazy white person" thing first. But it looks like a challenge and it tests your manhood.

I just go out on holidays and special occasions.....and do it all the way.

Some what, but not like I used too. Seriously, it takes me 2 days to recover if I get wasted. Not about that life anymore.

Nah. I chill with the fam on the holidays.

I want to plan a ski trip this holiday season though with my boys and our families

Them days after recovering have become more and more unbearable. Waking up at 3 in the afternoon and I be killing the gains. Counterproductive

. I can't even fathom getting lit on a night before work. I gotta call in off to work the next day smh.

I barely do anything for holidays anymore. Memorial/Independence/Labor day -- If I'm in town I'll try to hit a cookout,/bbq but I probably won't go out afterwards. If I'm vacationing, its not necessarily partying.

Never cared about St. Patty's, Columbus, *Yom Kippur, etc so I don't go out for those. Halloween I'll do because its nice to see how creative people get with costumes.

Thanksgiving through New Years are probably the most definite of me partying on holidays. When I was in school, that's when everyone came home so we got together. Now those are the periods at work when I take the rest of my vacation time. I also don't have to worry about staying in the weekend to rest and do side projects since that can be done during the days of the week.

Once I started dating my girl, I started going out less and less.

The whole point of partying for me was to meet wiminz.

My idea of relaxing now is going to the movies, out to eat, or Netflix and chill. Picked up golfing as well

I'm a simple guy.

This. I stopped partying before meeting my gf due to a close call, but this is my exact situation. Even the golfing.

im 22 and dont give a damn about drinking at clubs and bars w/e

house parties or kick backs ill go to

Getting older and getting a crib makes you enjoy not going out so much. Turning into guy mode but whatever. Why work and pay bills to waste the whole weekend away from the stuff you working to maintain?
