Nike Air Jordan Retro Metallic V - 7/23/16

Signed up for 5 raffles with my wife and she got the call back. Overall, 1/5 on raffles.

Went to HOH about an hour ago, spoke with an associate who complimented the bred XI's on my feet, and told him, "I come here all the time to cop shoes but missed out on the raffle, I won't be able to come back at 6pm to line up for unclaimed pairs because I have a party to attend, is there any way I can cop a pair?"

He said, "Let me ask my manager."

Manager walks up to me and says, "I recognize you, you love these J's don't you?"

I said, "As long as I can afford them."

She proceeded to get me my size, I used my $20 Platinum VIP reward and walked out with two pairs - one at $216, the other at $227."

I also copped another one from Nike.com desktop at noon, free shipping.

2 pairs, no defects, with one more on its way. Now heading to the casino to see if I can turn $300 into $2000.

Today was a good day. If you still want a pair and didn't win a raffle, I suggest going to the store ASAP and talking to them, you may end up with a pair at no hassle.

Can't even afford to get 1 pair lmao
I feel you bro. They are expensive. But if you really want to have 'em, maybe you can sell one or two pairs from your collection in order to get these. Or possibly go to Craigslist and see if anyone is down to trade.

As an older sneakerhead, this pair brings brings back so many memories as I balled in them in high school in 1990. For the younger collector's, it's still a must-cop because if you're truly a fan of MJ, 1990 was the year MJ made his statement to the Detroit Pistons in the playoffs that the Bulls were about to overtake them as the Beasts of the East. A year later in 1991, the Pistons' short-lived dynasty was finito.

The prices of retro exceeding $190 price range really put me on retirement. I will wait till the black/red 1s.

So what's everyone opinion on the 2016? Worth dropping $240 after taxes if I have the 2011?
If you're a collector, keep the 2011s and drop the dough on the '16s.

If you're into nostalgia and if you're a purist, either sell or trade the 2011s and cop the 2016s ASAP.

Nothing beats the OG remaster.

Honestly I can't justify $220, gonna try for the ovo 12s next weekend. If I strike out I'll come back and pick these up on eBay

Didn't think these would go to ndc.com or else I would have held off getting the Olympic penny's the other day. Got a few coupons burning holes in my wallet

Man with so many pairs out there, I feel like I need to double up just so Nike doesn't change their minds on these recent releases

Wonder why they don't just go the whole 9 yards and do the box and box labels exactly like the OG's were. Looks dumb to have Jumpman Air on the box of these.

(And that might be my only complaint about this release, everything else is absolutely perfect.)

Quality is quality I didn't mind putting up $250 for those confetti 8s material on those are [emoji]128293[/emoji]
