Anyone own a 4K TV?

Price dropped to $1500 so I copped. Love the TV though no complaints. I loaded Kodi and everything's working great. I used Apple Pay at Best Buy w/ my discover card 10% cash back in stores and then another 10% cash back at the end of the year. If you have a Discover card hop on it.

good to know, we decided to go with this

will be buying it in a few weeks http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung...lver/5184121.p?id=1219646565339&skuId=5184121

I bought the new  Vizio 65'' 4K model from Best Buy as an open box special for $1150 in July.  The picture is fantastic and it comes with built in wifi and has both Amazon Prime and Netflix  already installed on the remote.  Watching Narcos on Netflix 4K was amazing.

I need a 60+ by February for the SUPERBOWL so I could move my 50 to my bedroom. That's an amazing price considering I paid $850 for my 50 inch

Have a 60in Vizio P series I got for 1K last year on BF. Honestly I don't think I've watched any 4K content on it.

My first TV got a red line across the screen after only being used for 4 months, currently have a refurb that Vizio sent me

Can't recommend Vizio at all, for the P series to be the "top of the line" it crapped out too fast.

Was looking to buy a 65" Sony 810. How do you guys like your TV sets? Thanks

I actually just bought that same TV from Best Buy. No complaints so far. I've been watching Narcos and the Blacklist in 4K and loving it.

Edit: repped because I went back to Best Buy with my receipt and they price matched 330 back to my card

Just got a 65" Samsung 4K Curved display. The joint is straight up gorgeous, but like others have said 90% of content out there is still in 1080p. The apps installed on it suck and I still connect my Chromecast to it vs using them.

Samsung updated their Smart Hub (their Smart TVs menu and interface) a few months ago and ever since then the apps have been on and off, i couldn't even open Netflix when I wanted to watch Jessica Jones so most of the time I just use the PS4.

^^^^^^Damn, I wanted a 75" TV but can't until I move out. I am going to be mad that I didn't buy during Black Friday.

Question.....I know a lot of 4K TVs have upconverters. I have tons of downloaded video but all are about 720 or 1080p res. Would getting a 4K TV be useless for that and project these downloads horribly even with the upconverter? Should I just stick to getting a 1080p TV instead?

There are deals on TVs all year round. Set up an alert on Slick Deals and you are good to go.

This is what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on a new Samsung. A lot of complaints about the Smarthub and Netflix in particular.

Prices are dropping at a decent rate on 4K and OLED.

Just waiting for a reasonable priced 78-80in 4K TV, OLED would be nice too but that's gonna take a while.
