Always wanted to take a trip out there. Word on the streets is they have a lot to offer. And my mans Melo (shoutout to the Knicks, we getting rings this time) recently took a trip out there.

But to my knowledge, it's nothing but the GOATs out there:
Cuban cigars
Cuban Linx
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Cuban Olympic Volleyball team

What does it take for a man to go out there? How difficult is it to travel there nowadays? Any medical risks? Do I need to get malaria shots in my *** or whatver?

How do they treat Black folk out there?

I got a cousin with a canoe that can pull up right to where Cuba Gooding Jr. is known to be at. PM for details :nerd:

I been eyeing Cuba lately too, and I want to see the 1950's American Cars still on the streets out there.  It looks like a beautiful place

^yeah,  I was watching Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain, and they're worried about trying to make sure the whole place doesn't succumb to tourists and lose all it's architectural beauty

you can go but you'll need a reason to be there, mostly through "good will" mission...go build some houses or something

There are many ways to get there. Have a few family members that travel there every other year or so.

Good will mission or studies are one of the few ways.

The easiest way to go is fly out the us and then fly to Cuba. Fly out to Mexico or DR then just get a ticket to Cuba.

Flights aren't cheap but that's really the only way to get out there before it becomes Americanized.

Right now you will get the real feel of Cuba.

Just remember DO NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT STAMPED WHEN ENTERING OR LEAVING CUBA.

I went in 2003 when i was in college. Trip was sponsored by unicef. It was like stepping into a time machine. Beautiful place

Cuba is the cheapest all inclusive trip (flight, hotel, food and drinks) we Canadians take. In my opinion it's crappy there. We stayed in a 4.5 star hotel which seemed like it would've been a 3 or 3.5 anywhere else. You might as well spend a little more money and take an all inclusive to DR or mexico.

How do you get into and leave a country without being stamped?

A brother of mine doesn't have a US passport because he got caught coming back from Cuba with $300K in gold (not his). They were trying him for Treason

Before they wouldn't stamp your passports.. Now, the US doesn't really care anymore

But if it's an issue for you.. Just claim you lost your passport at whatever the middle port is and you will be able to get a temporary passport pretty easily and swiftly

You can ask the immigration officer not to stamp your passport. Israel does this.

Update, I'm looking to plan this trip but I don't know the necessary steps

What if I fly to jamaica and then head to Cuba from there?

From what I've read, I'd need a reason to go over there, and I don't think smoking cuban cigars and soaking my royal oats is an acceptable excuse
