WWE announced the following today, confirming recent reports that they were close to signing La Sombra:


Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza, of Mexico City, has signed with NXT and WWE, joining the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla.

Formerly known as “La Sombra,” Oropeza is a third-generation luchador whose grandfather, father, uncles and cousins all competed in Mexico. Oropeza signed with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2007 at age 17, where he trained under El Satanico. While there, he held many titles, including the CMLL Trio and Tag Team titles and the NWA Welterweight and Middleweight titles.

The WWE Performance Center’s newest luchador also brings experience from Japan; Oropeza made multiple trips to Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), winning the organization’s Intercontinental Championship in 2013.

I have no idea..I went to their website and tried to use their channel locator to see if I get them in my area, but it doesn't work..

I do notice on their site they advertise playing 90210 and daytime soap operas..:smh:
 
I had a buddy post this pic this morning and figured I'd share. I feel like this has to be almost 20 years ago.
 
I was buying into Eva Marie actually having an "it" factor, but nah, this chick is just good looking with red hair. She can't cut a promo, can't wrestle, and has the personality of a paper plate. Her promo against Bayley was terrible, and it even looked like Bayley was attempting to cue through it :rofl: just dye Maryse's hair red and call it a day

sadly, eva is gonna win that nxt strap soon and be wrestling at WM32 in a few months
hopefully, she doesnt seriously injure anyone along the way
