-As noted, Cesaro is expected to be out of action for 4-6 months after having shoulder surgery. It was speculated that with John Cena, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton out, Cesaro could be one of the talents that get pushed. We now know that was the plan. Some started to believe this was perfect timing for Cesaro and his big push, or at least the push that would eventually give him a title run, was finally coming. There were a lot of people genuinely disappointed to see Cesaro get put on the shelf.

What makes matters worse, Vince McMahon was very impressed with Cesaro’s work in his recent RAW match against Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens. Vince has never been down on Cesaro’s in-ring work, but has had issues with other aspects. However, just Vince expressing satisfaction with Cesaro is a step in the right direction. Let’s just hope that’s kept in mind when he’s able to return.

-In an interesting story, there was a double turn pitched for Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, before Rollins was injured on the European tour. Vince McMahon reportedly shot the idea down and wanted none of it.

Vince has been “extremely stubborn” when it comes to Reigns being a top babyface and he was not interested at all, even though the idea was pitched with a detailed plan by a WWE producer.

On a related note, there seems to be two feelings on the renewed push of Reigns – either he’s still not over and officials have their work cut out for them in trying to get him over as the top babyface, or he’s ready and the push is going to stick this time. Despite the skepticism, Triple H reportedly also feels good about the push.

:smh: Vince
