is the wire a good show?

i've watched every episode of the sopranos at least 5 times. i need a new show to watch. i've seen episodes of the wire and wasn't that into it, but i think if i start from the begining ill appreciate it more. what you guys think?
 
I heard it sucked. That, The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.

All a waste of time.

of course i watched every episode. i still havent seen the wire, game of thrones, or walking dead. im not into that stuff, zombies and ****. i like stuff like breaking bad and  the sopranos cos i like crime stuff.
 
The Wire and Breaking Bad should not be mentioned together....TWO totally different shows

I started The Wire recently. The first season was lit but this second season got me snoozing.

yea towards the end of breaking bad it started getting ridiculous.

2nd season of the Wire was the worst but still not terrible. After season 2, its all up hill. Great show.

I didn't appreciate season 2 until I finished the series....in the moment it was meh (because I couldn't stand ziggy) but in retrospect it was very key

speaking of which it's about that time I rewatch the series

The Wire is the GOAT. Season 2 is a different direction but vastly important to to the rest of the story. Don't listen to the hate.

Came in here expecting to see "season 2 is crucial", expectation met.

Don't believe the hype, season 2 sucks.
 
Lmao sounds like season 2 is the most polarizing..but yea I'm 3 episodes in on season 2 and it's been
