Having top 10, top 5 list are silly in general no matter how you slice it. No one here has or ever will have seen enough of all players across different eras to really know what they're talking about. But we all do it anyway. With that said how do you really justify lebron NOT being in your top 5. From a statistical standpoint he's there. Combine that with rings and all he brings to the table, how does a guy like Larry, Hakeem, Oscar, etc surpass Bron in your mind? If you don't like the guy, cool. But stop saying there's way to justify it.

If Kobe ain't atleast top 10 on your list thats just some hater ****. He's over Hakeem and Shaq. Bird and Duncan is at least debatable.

Being hurt can come in ebbs and flows, and a good performance doesn't mean he didn't play while uncomfortable. I've yet to see someone say that is why the Warriors lost but it isn't that wild to think he didn't fully heal and as he continued to pound in the playoffs his body wasn't feeling the pain
NONE of the injury talk happened until they went down 3-1 against the Thunder & fans were looking for excuses because apparently it's impossible for Steph Curry to have a bad game otherwise.

He, and everyone else actually involved with the outcome of the games, immediately dismissed all the injury talk. But you dudes are adamant that he was hurt. It's comical.

He's a 2 time MVP, he doesn't need anyone making up excuses for his poor play. He didn't play well, not because he was injured.
Just stop you're trying too hard or have no clue what you're talking about. In the Portland series he was good statistically, but he only showed flashes of his old self for that 4th quarter and OT in his first game back. People were saying in game 6 that he was still rusty, and even though he had some good numbers in the OKC series people still were watching a Steph that played different compared to regular season Steph.
Lastly of course players and coaches will dismiss the injury stuff, these are alpha males that don't want to be labeled pusses, no excuses from them. But any logical, competent fan who watches the nba regularly knows that Steph was definitely slowed down by the mcl injury. Even he knows he wasn't 100%.

I think don't think Kobe is over Shaq or Hakeem.

Shaq has 3 rings as the best player of championship team.

Hakeem had 2 rings as undisputed best player on a championship team. And was arguably the best defensive force outside of Russell.

No Lebron was the best player on the team during all this rings

Kyrie and wade were never better than Lebron

Kobe was only finals mvp 2/5 rings he won.

In this comparison:

Lebron = Shaq
Kobe = Kyrie/Wade

By what INDIVIDUAL metric is Kobe > Lebron?

Jordan
Duncan
Bird
Magic
Lebron
Shaq
Kareem
Hakeem
Wilt
Russell

>

Kobe

No way he's in top 5 or 10
Straight up Kobe hater. No other way around it.

Shaq won them because he outplayed Kobe IN THE FINALS. Finals MVP does not necessarily mean he led the team or was the best player throughout the ENTIRE playoff run to the chip.
The WCF for the Lakers were pretty much the real finals during the threepeat. 2000 is debatable, but 2001 Spurs>2001 Sixers. And 2002 Kings >>>>> 2002 Nets

Most of the Eastern conference champions post MJ and before Miami Lebron have been trash

You can't be Top 5 GOAT with only 1 MVP.....

Jordan 6

Kareem 6

Russell 5

Lebron 4

Wilt 4

Magic 3

Bird 3

only one of us has no idea what we're talking about & it isn't me.

You're saying players don't acknowledge injuries where there are countless examples throughout the history of the league of them doing the exact opposite.

Regardless, it's a sad excuse. Period. Everyone has knicks & bruises.

Steph chooses not to use his mcl as an excuse, why is that so hard for you to accept? Mcl injury is not even being close to "knicks and bruises", you are blind. The sheer fact that many are saying that Steph doesn't have the same burst or elevating as usual tells you all you need to know. It's not like only a few people are saying that.

You can't have LeBron before Shaq at this point. You just can't.

3 straight FMVP's....

Perimeter bias is strong. Shaq's dominance is slowly being forgotten.

1. Jordan
2. Kareem
3. Magic
4. Russell
5. Duncan
6. Shaq
7. Kobe
8. Bron
9. Wilt
10. Bird

Why not? Lebron's Resume is lowkey already better than Shaq's, no?

And I dont' see how Kobe is ahead of Lebron on any all time list IMO. I don't get it. Based on what? Rings?

I like your list. Shaq is the most dominant big man ever. I mean dude was the beast during the 90s where there were at least 4 top centers in the game.

TOP CENTERS

KAREEM
SHAQ
RUSSELL
WILT
AKEEM
MIKAN
ROBINSON
EWING
MALONE

Shaq was a big gorilla , I f*cking hated watching him play. The Dream, Robinson and Ewing worked on their game enough to have range on their shot

Adamant? Where am I adamant about an injury and that being an excuse

Slow down, read slowly what we are saying, understand most aren't taking away anything from the Cavs, and then try to have a rational discussion

And hurt isn't injured.

LeBron is a living legend, whether you LOVE, LIKE, DISLIKE, or HATE him. Only a legend can be the first to lead a team come back from 3-1 down in the Finals against the defending champions, who are the best regular season team ever @ 73-9, with the back to back MVP, and first unanimous MVP ever. This is LITERALLY unprecedented!

Lakers championships beat anything, but this was easily my favorite non-Lakers championship ever. I am happy for Cleveland.

This was the only reason I did not want Lebron to win. Fanboys like this. Yeah lebron is a great player. Is he top 5? not right now. is he top 10? not right now. Dude has 3 ships from how many final appearances?

He's a great player. I take nothing away from him. But hes far from Top 5. Hell I dont even put KOBE as a top 5. KOBE is top 10 IMHO

MJ
MAGIC
KAREEM
BIRD
WILT
RUSSELL
KOBE
DUNCAN
SHAQ
BIG O
Fanboy?

I'm a fanboy for Lebron?! Ok. I just love the fact that the kid put on an all time great show so all of these ******* haters can get off of the kid's back. I'm 43. I've watched a lot of those players that some of you only saw on video. The hatred, nitpicking, scrutiny this kid has received is unprecedented. The rule is, once you win a ring, you're good. People back off. MJ used to catch heat. He wasn't a winner. He would never be Larry/Magic. Didn't make his teammates better. Once he won his 1ST ring, people backed off. You're a champion. This kid? He wins and people still take shots. I don't understand it. Fools saying he sucks, he's this, he's that. Let me tell you something about your list up there. ALL of them have played in numerous playoff series. NONE of them have led it in points, rebounds, assist, steals, and blocks. None of em. The kid put on a historical performance to beat a historical team that had a history making MVP on it. I'm tickled pink for him. He can shove that **** in their faces and they can't say ****!!!!

Personally, my favorite player is MJ. I love the way that he changed his game as his otherworldly athleticism started to decline. But I'm a fan of the game. I've watched the game. It makes me chuckle when people say MJ would destroy Lebron. Uhhh, did you watch MJ when he had to guard big, physical guards? Did you see when he played against Mitch Richmond, Nick Anderson, etc? They gave him problems. Did you see him have to switch off of a young Penny Hardaway because he couldn't guard him. Flat out couldn't. Pip couldn't do much better to tell you the truth. MJ was human. He was a great player, probably the best, but he had bad games. He had tough shooting nights. The biggest indictment against him in my book? His damn team almost goes to the ECF without him. They win 57 with him. 55 without him. Anyway you slice it you're on a great squad. You're a great player but you were on a great squad. How do you compare that to Lebron? When he leaves, his team wins......the lottery.

Everyone on that list can be scrutinized in one way or another. Be it the era they played in, the team they were on, etc. All I can go by is what I've seen of Lebron and what I've seen of the people on your list. Lebron James would give everyone on that list hell. They'd give him hell too, but it definitely wouldn't be one sided. Chad Ford, he of draft guru fame, on Mike &Mike while arguing with Greenberg was asked who he thought was the best basketball player in the history of the league. He said MJ was the best scorer. He said the most complete basketball player in the history of the league is Lebron James. He said he does more things at an all star level than anyone in the history of the league. His opinion, but I respect it. As I said before, MJ is my guy. He's my favorite player. I won't argue with anyone who has Lebby in their top 5. He's one of the best players I've ever seen. Coming back from being down 3-1 against a 73 win team? Legendary stuff....anyway you slice it

All Truth man I'm 30 & what boggles my mind is dudes my age always want to put players in there top 5 that they never saw play unless it was on a highlight reel or by looking up stats...I've seen MIKE win every one of his 6 rings I never saw MAGIC & BIRD in their prime neither WILT, RUSSELL OR KAREEM.....LEBRON is top 3 based on players that I've physically watched with my own eyes dudes gotta respect this man's game....As far as STEPH & the WARRIORS they just got too cocky they felt like they were untouchable & unbeatable with all the they could beat the 96' BULLS & The Showtime Lakers....Steph is a good player but not a great he's no where near LEBRON'S level he needs to become a more versatile PG....

He just had a stretch that statistically put him among rare company all time. You can't say a ***** that's out here breaking his own records in video game fashion isn't great. I don't care what happened in the finals.

Just like Lebron was a great even after he melt down in the 2011 finals.

It's crazy how these guys get defined by a game or two...or a series a two and their entire resume just gets thrown out the window. And we're talking about someone who's already won a chip.

It's funny...if Golden State won that series we'd be having this same convo about Lebron. Ya'll would have been having a field day with him right now.

Get out of here with this nonsense.
The ONLY reason those frauds won last year was because Irving and Love were injured. Curry didn't do ANYTHING in that finals. That's why he didn't win finals MVP. Yea in the regular season teams will allow you to run around all over the court and shoot bad shots and make them. He is a Harlem globetrotter he is supposed to do that. But look what happens win the play offs comes when they actually play teams that play defense. Curry FOLDS UP.

What do you mean "you don't care what happen in the finals"? Are you crazy! Post was void as soon as you said that smh

Most cats in the NBA are great players.
Steph Curry is not an ALL TIME great player.
He's proven to be a great regular season 3pt shooter, that becomes average in the playoffs when it matters most.
Kyrie isolated on Curry and hit the 3 that put his team up 3 with under a minute remaining.
Stephen comes down on the next possession isolated on KEVIN LOVE, cant shake him and bricks a 3 that eventually loses the game.
Kyrie >>>>>> Stephen
