The man averaged

30ppg
7apg
5rpg
-Shot 50/45/90 from the field on an insane volume
-Led the league in scoring
-Made over 400 3's
-Played 79/82 games....in the era of "rest"
-Led the league in STEALS & Steals per game
-Had the HIGHEST PER OF ALL TIME
-Led his team to 73 Wins...Breaking numerous NBA records along the way.
-Did this while playing ONLY 34 MPG

That's insane

Im waiting on the answer myself...
There you go @ComptonPrince
That part is false.

There's also been more prolific overall scoring seasons.

Off the top,  MJ led the league in scoring and steals multiple times.

No doubt one of the greatest individual seasons of all time, but definitely not a shoe in for 1st.

He was a few percentage points off. He was cruising to that PER record. Playing the last few games of the season dropped his PER...but yeah. He's right up there .

When you combine everything. Winning, eras, Stats, records etc... '91 MJ is the only one really in that company as a total package. I never said it was "clear cut". And obviously there were more prolific scoring seasons. Hell, wilt averaged 50/25 one year .

All I said was Steph had the single greatest individual season of all time...to me. And you agree that he's in the company per your last statement. So I don't understand the need for questioning, when you know it's at least easily debatable.

You just made it seem like a clear cut statement.  I just don't think it's that clear is all.

This is what I said:

Steph Curry just had the greatest individual NBA season in the history of basketball....and y'all are debating his value?.

I don't think people understand what Steph did this year....it was God level.

No where did I say clear cut . At the end of the day...it's very arguable that Steph had one of the greatest...if not the absolute greatest individual seasons in NBA history. It's all good though. I see where you're coming from.

Nobody should be debating his value, status etc. 2016 is his year. It be that way sometimes.

Fam that's a very clear cut statement

it's all gravy tho, we're on the same page.

Voters are so damn stupid. They should be forced to sit at a podium and have people yell at how dumb they are.

Very true. I mean they did give the MVP to him over Harden last year. They tend to get it wrong some years.

What a time .....

Curry deserves it all... Not his fault Kyrie and Love got hurt.

If there's a basketball god we will get the rematch and be healthy

But until then Curry is top in league ..

This thread isn't about careers it's about right now

Curry has a lot more to accomplish to even talk about being along Bron in overall talk .

Just see what happens

He's on his way.

Funny hearing tracy mcgrady hate on him yesterday. I bet he wouldn't say the nba is watered down if lebron got a unanimous mvp. Talking bout someone should've gave lebron at least one vote. Why? He didn't deserve a first place vote or the award. Voting for him would've just been petty and what a hater does.

Tracy's era would probably be one of the worst in NBA history.

2nd Round Virgin ain't saying nothing

Cavs are a 35 win team without LeBron, Warriors still win 50 without Curry. So how doesn't LeBron deserve one vote?

Difference is the Cavs are a 55 win team with Lebron, the Warriors are a 73 win team with Curry. A 15 factual win difference is greater than a 15 hypothetical win difference everyday.

Yet we cannot deny that the Warriors are still one of the top teams without Curry. Cavs Without Lebron however even would not make it into the playoffs.
If curry was that important, the warriors should have lost game 1 and 2 against the blazers.
The reason why curry gets si many votes is:
1. His team has the best record in the league
2. He scores a lot, being more aggressive in the offense while lebron is holding back often
3. Curry is more clutch than Lebron

Nevertheless i still dont like curry and his warriors. Any other team winning the chip is better than seeing them doing back to back.
