he has great hands and is good in the passing lanes. however, above average to great defenders dont get picked on every play. klay is a great defender, draymond green is a great defender. livingston, barbosa are average/above average defenders.

you have to be good enough to keep the other team honest right? curry wasnt.

but the truth will really come out next year. i think alot of teams think that the blueprint is out on gsw. so, we'll see.

I'm telling you bro. I've watched steph defend Russ 1v1, CP3 1v1, he more than holds his own. Those are two of the 3 best pgs in the entire league. He's going to get lit up a few times because they are great players, but he's just fine on that end. He's deceptively strong, long, and can hold his position. Up until this finals, (where LBJ and the cavs literally stopped running offense and ran P&R with Steph 90% of the time...something no other team in the league did. Maybe other teams start doing it next year more often) he never got taken advantage of.

I was dissapointed with his defense in the postseason off the ball though. There were instances where he looked James Harden esque off the ball. But all in all, counting the regular season and playoffs and finals? He was an above average and at times great defender no matter how you slice it. Klay, Iggy, Dray are all better defenders but steph is very good on defense.

Y'all have this fixed narrative on his defense so it's no use, but if you intently watched steph this year on that end I personally don't see how you come away with his defense as being "suspect" or anything of the sort.

But it's all good though.
