Patti Labelle makes pies? Vol and they good?

I think she's just being business savvy. If she gives him too much credit it means the pie is gonna be a passing fad. It would also undermine her credibility as a slammin cook and entertainment personality. She spoke to that dude on the phone and gave props but now it's on to the next move.

This dude singing about a damn pie is a minstrel show. Got black folk looking simple minded over a damn pie. Like how white people equate fried chicken and watermelon with us :smh:

Dude, White people do the same **** with food. Look at how shallow and emasculating foodie culture is. This guy is in his kitchen eating a $4 store bought pie and sangin about it. It's authentic and unpretentious the way a food eating experience should be.

Me and a buddy of mine went to Walmart a couple of weeks ago and he tried it. He said the pie had too much cinnamon in it and wasn't as good as advertised. I'm not a fan of sweet potato pie so I wasn't interested.

Good read if anybody cares.

- says she plans on coming out with more food items in Walmart: Mac & Cheese, 3 layer caramel cake, lemon bundt cake, lobster & shrimp. (would like to see how that goes in the future)

- talks about how important it is to support black businesses

- talks about how she heard about the famous YouTube video & how she plans on introducing him to some of her musical colleagues because of how good his voice is. ( looks like that video was the right move for him.)
