8 Year Car Lease = Real Life

$50k a year and leasing luxury is exactly what we're talking about. That's not too wise. Get you a 2014 mid level joint for around $15k and flourish while starting an investment account.

Just cause cats can "afford" it doesn't mean they should.

Why $15?

Why not get a $3k car that can get you from A to B

an altima or accord or something like that. so owning a 5-6 year car (or older probably for that price) for the same price as leasing a brand new version of that car.

whats the verdict?

pay the ten k and drive that thing forever and if somethings breaks in the future you can easily afford it....

you can drive that car forthe next ten years easily

Nothings wrong with making $25/hr and leasing a luxury.

My homie makes about that and just leased a Q50 for $350/month. Single guy, no outstanding expenses. Everyyones different, if he had a family and whatnot then it woudnt exactly be wise.

nah he suppose to save that for a rainy day, allegedly

One life to live. Look man, if I can do it...im doing it...especially if my finances are right and I like it.

Not gonna short myself and get something I didnt really want to play it "safe"

25/hr is $50k bruh... You can afford to lease a decent car with that

Seriously though I plan on leasing the new Lexus GS someone convince why this is the right or wrong thing to do.

Single.
No kids.
Rent paid for every month easy.

Lol I know how much it is I just broke it down to hourly wages. To me 50K isn't enough to be leasing luxury, but I don't try to stunt.

I just read some other article about this :x

Supporters of this are basically saying "Of course discrimination is bad, but you can't measure it properly, so these laws protecting against discrimination need to go because there is no good way to tell if discrimination actually exist in the industry...........................except all evidence show blacks and Hispanics pay more"

And they are marketing it as a way for consumer to get lower interest rates

And as I think of it, that can be solved with more regulation actually, not less.

-I can't believe Democrats are supporting a law that would roll back parts of Dodd-Frank too, as if the discrimination part wasn't bad enough.

This is so wrong on multiple levels :smh:

I am in the boat (or frame of mind) of doing what I can to have enough money to purchase a decent used car outright...

with that said, cars are expensive as hell. This grown up ish sucks.

I am fortunate to make more than the national median average, I do not buy shoes and unnecessary stuff anymore, and just think, I have no clue how folks who have families, make less money, make it happen in this current climate. its hard.

Getting a loan seems the only way to go in order to purchase for some...saving money is difficult

+random rambling/vent+
I make slightly more than the national average too and still live at home...

Saving by the boatload. I recommend. 21 tho.

Damn we must know the same chick, i cant do nothing but smh

I totally lost on this Kia Optima Hybrid. Had it 4 months and already 14k upside down, 40% of the value. Realized it can't even fit a stroller in the trunk and I need to trade it for something bigger, but not an option really that far upside down. On top of that, I am only getting around 30mpg, which I could have gotten one of the more base, regular models for literally half and gotten that mileage, even the turbos you can catch a new 2014 for like 18

Damn the dealer got you.

You got a hybrid that only gets 30 mpg? Damn man that truly sucks, my 04 Camry gets 24mpg city.

My first & only brand new car I bought was financed for 84 months with a pretty high interest rate, i think it was 7.5%. However I just turned 18 at the time making decent money to afford the car & payment. Was it worth it? In my mind & opinion it was. I'M also looking to purchase another new car, im 27 now, and I'll probably finance that one for 84 months, AND I'll be perfectly content with my decision.

It all depends on the person, their situation, and what the bank has to offer them. I've been fortunate in making good credit decisions so I have nothing to worry about at this time
