For those who don't like to read here are Cliff Notes Below.

NYC artists migrating to LA in large numbers

LA is going through an artistic renaissance

LA currently has more creatives than any other city in the world

NYC has become a city for the bankers and wealthy and lost its culture

LA has become less suburban while NYC has become more suburban

LA is where its at due to being the center of the entertainment industry

I started my own tech and design business around 2.5 years ago...answering craigslist ads and hitting up radiokorea

In just 2.5 years I have an office off of rodeo drive and another above flightclub on fairfax and rosewood along with 2 employees.

My boys from NBCK just started a mural company, already put in work with walldogs and just branched off on their own.

The industries that thrive in the city and the amount of area LA county encompasses make it the best place in the entire US for an entrepreneur

Any NTer can hit me up if they are near UCLA, My company manages the payroll/security/credit card processing systems at Gypsy Cafe on Broxton near the theatres.

Free food, drinks, and hookah if you holla.

Congrats fam. Good to see the NT fam flourishing.

NYC has lost its way. Gentrification is ruining the city culture. Moving in more wall street types won't make the city great.

Good, hopefully people stop moving here 8.5 million is more than enough already. Ppl move here thinking it's an episode of friends or sex and the city where they go to work for a big company live downtown and enjoy the city carefree. The. The reality sets and you realize you gotta work twice as hard here and there is 5x the competition and then it's **** NYC. And  at food in la better than food in nyc  na son. We have bodegas that will cook up sandwiches better some of the stuff I have tried there.

I'm pretty sure the trust fund babies, wallstreeters, and hipsters are moving in with no problems at all...

NY's culture is on a downward trend

NY's culture is on a downward trend

9 mil residents by 2030. Not all will be trust fund baby's, Wall Street yuppies or hipsters. In fact most will be Midwestern/ southern / foreign kids trying to live the big city life. Also hipsters struggle too and move out eventually as well same with aspiring wallstreeters when they can't crack it in the biz. That's actually a good chuck of transplants who get frustrated with the extreme competition in then the city.

This

People move in then realize its hard so they leave unless their parents have money. Females in their 30s if they dont settle down leave because its hard to keep a man with the options out here.

I really want to see how the gentrification in Brooklyn and upcoming in the Bronx changes the city.
