yo my family isnt even mexican, but when they immigrated to mexico and lived there for almost a decade, the first thing they learned was to make tamales
i remember having to smash the masa for my grandma when i would visit her house in el monte
i miss those times.
 
i'm salty, and my brother broke up with his Mexican gf, her mom used to hook us up lovely every Christmas
