Best concert you have been to?

Awesome thread :pimp:

I've seen 600+ concerts :x (I work at a concert venue)

Don't feel like saying which one :nerd:, but we get a range of everyone...literally anyone you can think of has played here. We usually get the people that are rising up, and when they are coming down for the most part, but some artists will love to have intimate shows, along with private events that will book some superstar. we only hold 1.3k, but it's a very famous venue.

Honestly, the performances that I felt were insane, where the whole crowd was completely into the show and the place was wild were probably only Imagine dragons (saw the lead singer crying backstage during the encore, his band was hyping him up to pull it together lol), Young the giant (amazing show), and this newer artist called cherub. I respect a concert like that more than anything. twenty one pilots are incredible performers as well, if you are into them, you have to see them. Lauryn Hill played here this year or last year, came out over an hour late, and had people kicked out, she gave no dambs, awful performer. Prince came out at like 3am . Lupe came out hours late and only played one song, crowd was ready to riot. Drake had a big brawl going on in the crowd, shut down the show and ever since then, we barely get rap concerts

The best concert for me was taylor swift at soldier field with 55k people though, don't judge :nerd:

Yes I will judge you for that T-Swift concert :smh: :x

Y'all actually pay to go see this? pic.twitter.com/A5JHny72AQ

Hands down the best show I've ever been to was the Outkast ATLast Comeback show in downtown Atlanta last september.

Been a lifelong fan of outkast and told myself that if they ever did a big show in atlanta, i'd fly out to it to be there.

Man and it was amazing.

They did back to back shows that weekend. Each day had different opening acts. The first day had like kid cudi, raury, and someone else as the opening act. Me and my boy went by the venue and heard kid cudi going OoooOOoOOoOoowwwwwwwaaaaaaaAAaaahhhhhhhh. We high fived each other for deciding to get tickets for sunday instead.

We splurged on VIP tickets that put us in front of the stage with tons of space. And unlimited burgers, wings, beer, and snacks were just a couple feet away. Keri Hilson was watching the show right next to us. My boy was on cloud 9 so he ran game knowing he'd get politely shut down. And that's exactly what happened.

Sundays lineup was unforgettable. It was billed as the "Southern Roundup" and nothing more. We had no idea who was going to open the show. That day we ended up seeing Killer Mike, Bun B, 8 Ball and MJG, B.O.B, Young Joc, Pastor Troy, Devin the Dude, Bone Crusher, YoungBloodz, and others...as the opening act to Outkast's last show in Atlanta.

That "opening act" was dope enough. Then Outkast went on. God damn. They brought out Erykah for humble mumble. And they closed the show with Gangsta **** where they brought out damn near the entire dungeon family to perform. It started raining in the middle of the song too. It was crazy.

Easily best show I've ever been to.

I've seen some cool ones though. Glow in the dark was pretty wild. But that was nothing compared to Watch the Throne. Before the show, me and my boy saw who we thought was jermaine cole standing at the sound booth. We weren't sure if it was him. Then we saw him wipe his face one handed - real sad like - and then we decided it HAD to be him. So I yelled out "COLE WORLD". And he looked over and nodded. Felt awkward after yelling out his name like that and not saying anything, so I went up to him to chop it up. Then I guess everyone else in the lower levels saw what I did and I guess they had time to google him cuz after that, it was like 100 people running down to say hi to him and take pictures. He looked over at me like :smh: for blowing up the spot. The next day, my stripper homegirl told me jermaine went to her place of business later that night and paid for the business. But yeah. Watch the Throne was a spectacle. Haven't seen anything like that production wise since.

The Yeezus show was a pretty unique experience. The Kardashian klan was in throw a soda distance from me. That was kinda cool I guess.

I've been to a ton of Rock the Bells where I got to see hip hop legends perform which is always dope. Each of those festivals had some special moments. Like running into DMX solo dolo in the parking lot and telling him his music and energy changed my life. Dude screamed back at me that he appreciated me.

Saw kendrick at a small venue last week. That was a great show too. He left the stage at the end of his set and the crowd chanted WE GON BE ALRIGHT for like 5-6 minutes. It was a pretty cool moment.

Made out with 2 girls at the same time at a Danny Brown show.

I've seen a bunch of 70's soul artists too. Cool to see the people who made the music I was raised on. Saw Alabama Shakes, Leon Bridges, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones recently too. Tons of great performers and great music.

Sorry yall, I could talk about shows for days.

TLDR - OUTKAST.

Glow in the dark tour >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have seen Kanye on 6 different occasions and nothing touched glow in the dark

Haven't been to many concerts, but Future's Monster vs Beast Mode concert in DC at Echo-Stage was too lit. Also, Boosie's concert at the Baltimore Arena when he came home :pimp:.

Wish I coulda gone to the "Hard Knock Life Tour" or "Up in Smoke Tour". Them tours looked crazy. Two of the best tour DVD's :pimp:

Outkast at the Chenery Auditorium in Kalamazoo, MI back in '96.

There were rumors they'd be there but nobody knew b/c it's literally a high school auditorium. Paid the $15 and hoped they'd show up. Waited through 4-5 hours of god awful local acts and a step show and they finally came on around 1 AM. We were about 3 rows back, dead center. High as hell from passing blunts up and down the row we were in. It was so surreal to see them in some random *** auditorium right after they had dropped the classic that is ATLiens.

Sade was dope as hell, too. Grail status concert and we were lucky enough to score 2nd row seats.

I still remember when Lupe came out on Kanye set to do touch the sky and dude slip and fell  .. Got up and kept spitting like nothing happened :pimp:

Also people were hot cause Lupe opened and they missed him

Boyz 2 men!!! I love old school R&B. Wiz khalifa in 09 I sparked up an L he asked who smoking on that loud.

KRIT in Ann Arbor (real small venue, maybe 250 heads) was fire.

Blind Pig? Been to a bunch of shows there back in the day. Murs, Borther Ali & One Be Lo, Atmosphere, Bunch of Def Jux cats. Love that venue.

Further (Grateful Dead minus Jerry) have killed it the few times I've seen them.

Black Keys killed it two times I saw them.

KRIT, Ghost, Rae, Bob Dylan all at small venues have been crazy .

ASAP Rocky was awful.

yup, Blind Pig.

I don't got to too many concerts, seen Jay, Kendrick, Cole, Big Sean, and few others in larger venues...

Small venues like the Blind Pig are the way to go in my opinion.

Watch The Throne at the New Orleans Arena (my gf had work, nobody I knew really cared for either one so I spend the money for two tickets on one dope seat. Had the time of my life, met some cool *** group of chicks, smoked out, epic night

But in truth all the ones I've been to where on point. Yeezus Tour, Wu-Tang Clan, GZA/Liquid Swords Anniversary, Raekwon/Ghostface, Lupe Fiasco/The Cool Tour, Black Star
