I'm not gonna argue but it's clear there wasn't many pair of Breds or royals at all. Barely any stores received them and those that did barely even get 1 FSR for the most part. Hell even most websites barely had any, pretty much released and sold out in less than a minute.

They sold as high as $650 from what I saw possibly more, if you think there was more than even 30k pairs of Breds then you're out of your mind.

So I'm not sure what you're arguing for? Either the resell price or the determined amount of 2013 pairs? If you were around in any of those threads during release like I said barely any stores received them and the big stores like in NY and some other spots received like 2 FSR if that

Breds were one of the worst releases ever

I am not arguing for the sake of it. I want to hear some discussion and info so I can get some idea of what to expect for this release. I appreciate the reminder of the 2013 release, but...I was there for that release. It was like yesterday...I remember your posts in those threads mad as hell after striking out. So was I. I know exactly how hard it was. I know they sold as high as $650, but you should mention that was months after the release when the majority of the pairs had dried up. The resale started at $375 for a very very brief period, then $400 and stable at $450 for a while. I don't like to pull numbers out of my a** so I am talking from my experience of trying to find a pair. Royals were worse because many more pairs went overseas unlike the BREDs so their resale was higher. Funny thing is 30k seems way too low for the resale the BREDs had. I think it must be higher because does it really make sense that BREDs and Chicagos are released in 95% less numbers than other GR releases. Doesn't sound like mindset of a for profit company like Nike. I understand you are still salty from the 2013 release...Hopefully we cook on the 2016 release so we can put it behind us.

Chicago 1s were a more annoying release when Nike chose not to release them online at the last minute.

How am I salty, I had 4 pairs and currently 3. While I paid resell it's whatever my point is you think there's 50k pairs of Breds or more from 2013 and that's not even accurate.

You can't compare Chicago and bred release, bred will always bring out the beasts and hype and Chicagos were hyped up and even those were limited.

not everything has to sell for inane amount of money to prove it was "limited"

If you were in the thread like you say then you know basically no stores received pairs and those that did... Barely even got enough pairs for 15 people.

Sites sold out in less than a minute, actually more like less than 30 secOnds

I know they were a tough release...but I have seen way way worse releases. I am not comparing BRED vs Chicagos I am comparing them to other GRs. 25k/500k (like the Columbia 11) =  5% seems irrational even for Nike to limit them that bad. No stores received them? I saw receipts from smaller stores.

I think it was the hype around BRED 1s that Kanye created that awoke the beasts.

Yeah, sales analyst, Matt Powell had said all the 1s that came out starting in '13 were limited to about 25k (based on sales within the US). I got lucky on the Blk/Red, caught a pair on NBA store that night after they released. It would be nice to get a wider release this time, there's definitely a lot more folks now that jumped on the hype train for 1s after they saw resale prices. I guess we will see in a few months.. :nerd:

Thanks for the info. 25k is just surprising based on their resale price i would have thought it would be even higher. Has Matt Powell talked about numbers of other GRs?

Either way I want Nike release these so i can get at least 4-5 pairs. I don't care if everyone and their mama got on a pair after release.

palma palma Well, during that period of time the typical GR was between 250-350K, 500k for Black Friday, and 500k+ for holiday 11. But of course, the holiday 11 numbers have increased annually since and I'm sure the numbers for other releases fluctuate based on their projected sales.

^ If they made infant sizes in these, my nephews would need to be laced up with a couple. :pimp:

Thats true...Nike definitely on here reading these boards idc what anyone says. Probably getting a laugh half the time. But they know what they are doing.
If we see infant, then I'm banking on these being way easier than most OG 1s. Multicolor 3.0 status, where people start not even wanting them cuz they're not limited type GR status.
Good point. Have retro 1s ever had infant sizing?

72-10 release was rumored at 1 million pairs. Think the space jam will exceed that.

My hunch is these will be widely available vs. the banned release from a few years ago. I ended up with one pair of the banned 1s through a friend, still DS. Personally want one more to wear.

100k pairs sounds amazing.
Amazing until you divide how many dudes be trying for 17 pairs a person. ok AJ1 vets, you got me. 17 pairs is a reach. But I mean I like to factor the fact that very few people in these days in time are content with one pair, not saying that that is good or bad. Just a factor.

Never believed in doubling up

...until this release.
I just need one pair. As I get older, I just don't got it in me to do all that for two. Hopefully these are cold enough that they knock the bottom out of the resale on 2001s, and I could get a pair of those for the low.
