Let me rephrase that, the majority of GR Retro Jordans have lost a lot of their hype or possibly gone out of style, hence why models have been sitting and headed to outlets/discount. Overall sales for Jordans increased possibly due to these factors however, the sneaker culture hype that was associated with almost all GR releases selling out every weekend seems to have largely dissipated. There are a few outliers such as the holiday 11 releases and some inbetween releases like Flu Game and Master 12s but for every one of these releases you have 3-4 (estimated) releases like the MTM 7s, DFA 5 lows and Mango 9 lows that most sneakerheads don't care about (in terms of hype) but others will likely still buy because they can afford to buy them when they go on discount and are now the same as retail price of Team Jordans.

It's still not DS and in any event, if the 11s aren't the outlier I was thinking they were, than the point about GR retros losing their allure and hype is even more pronounced.

I think we'll see with therelease of these 1s though-my money is on that they will sell out instantly because they are the cheapest Jordan retro that isn't a low and I think a huge factor that deters a lot of people from copping on release day is high retail price.
 
They will sell out because the hype is there but paying $600+ for 1s is dead.

I 100% agree, I just hope this release is similar to the Flu Game 12s in that they will be a relatively easy cop for most who put a little work in and aren't all beaten by bots like the Chi 1s were.

This can we agree on, I got my Flu Games with ease and very lil worry I pray these are the same.   I sorta wish they came in the full family sizing as well

Yeah I'd love to see comparison numbers. Flu games were only $30 more than these and were last retroed 7 years prior while it has been less than 3 years for this release. My only concern is that 1s (all variations not just OG) are more popular than 12s so this release might attract a much bigger demographic of people.
 
And half of those flu games probably more, are sitting in the market... Even selling for under retail

Sure they told but most didn't even cop to wear or keep

People pay resell for almost everything. Even preorders. So $220 has little to do with it. It's a Jordan with Nike AIR branding. Like I said, it was based on availability. I did raffles at 10 different store, got 2 calls. But the stores still had some at the end of the day. That's because resell was low and nobody wanted them. Again, cause of availability

I agree with you. When I see the launch locator and on release day I get a pair with ease then I will believe these guys
 
The new reports on the numbers in here sound great. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in here but I just saw zsneakers IG post saying that there will be GS sizes available as well...

If true, using @babyJs23 standards that spells.... :nerd:
