DNA Evidence Proves That The First People In China Were Black

The first human beings on this planet were black. Like what do ppl think Africa being the cradle of civilization means?

This is what I like to call uncommon common knowledge. Well known, not well talked about.

Lol its more acurate to say all ppl originate from the continent opposed to saying black in the sense it is a race. Because even then gentically a sub saharan african is not the same as austrailian aboriginal people or audamanese ppl from the coast of what we call india today.

So we are all African. I ain't no one trippin.

The people humans who left africa mixed with the inhabitants of the lands they arrived in thus becoming the ancestors of the people currently in those lands. So everyone has an African "adam" and or "eve" ancestor, but every one isnt african

It's no secret that the original people were of African descent, but this article just makes me even more sad that us black people truly do not know our roots

I talk to my white friends they know if they are Irish, German, Scottish etc..

I talk to my Asian friends they know if they are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc...

I talk to my Latino friends they know if they are Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, etc...

All I know is that I am black. This may not be the case for ALL black people but the majority of African Americans like myself just have to identify as black

Yea I understand that we most likely are a mix of a bunch of african ethnic groups at this point, but what groups would that be? I don't know. I've seen the heated debates about Dominicans on here and whether or not they are considered black, but at least they know they are Dominican. I have no idea where my roots trace back to.

What does "at least they know they are dominican" mean? They are just as lost as you are lol. Same way they are dominican is the same way you are an american

Only thing I relize is that the term African- American is null and void. I was born in America... ok, so what you can trace my roots to Africa.
Everyone is traced to Africa. White people in this country are African American too. Where ever someone migrated from, like Ireland, they
really Irish African. So, we either drop the African or add it to everything?...

Idk how to say it to make sense to everyone else but I'll give you an example of when this idea hit me. Here in Chicago you see a bunch of festivals throughout the summer...let's use the Puerto Rican Festival for instance...you go there and it's just so much pride around being Puerto Rican (minus the violence that pops off every year

). Flags everywhere, PR food, etc. I want that pride about knowing where my roots are. I love being black don't get me wrong, but I just feel robbed of that pride around where I come from and the traditions that come along with it. Maybe using Dominicans as an example wasn't the best way to put that but I still feel that they have more distinguishing traditions to point to than us African Americans.

I was about to say.

That's not knowing your roots saying I'm dominican. It's dominicans black as a mug with thick lips and wide noses claiming they're not African. Those folks are lost.

there are tribes that look like straight up caramel skinned asian people

and some asians look just like black people

kalahari desert people

Im 100% sub saharan african and there are south east asians darker than me. We have to stop referring to Africa as if it is a race of people and not a land with thousands of different people who differ at a genetic level. We dont refer to chinese and indians in the same context as we do for say an Ethiopian and a Nigerian. It almost goes to show the lack of respect people have for Africa where they group diverse people into one bucket lol.

The point of my post isn't to bash PR people its to say i wish I could have the same experience and feel the pride about my roots that they and other groups feel about theres. African American is too general for me to feel any strong pride around.
