Is the Jordang Super Fly 4 just a sports shoe?

Hi everyone,

I am planning on customizing a pair of Jordan's for someone for Christmas. I think the Jordan Super Fly 4's are very cool, but are they just a sports shoe? Do men wear them casually? I am looking for a casual shoe. Will I look silly gifting this style to someone who barely plays basketball? Thanks in advance!

don't see a lot of people wear the super fly 4 casually other than 1 of my friends, but i don't stroll the malls that much. 

as far as gifts, it is the thoughts that count. these are still very comfortable shoes. 

If it is me, i would just gift them a Nike giftcard and tell them to shop for themselves.
