My issue with Beadle wasn't the fact that she DID it, my issue was her trying to hide it through the use of a makeup mask. And her playing STUPID about it as if she was unaware of what she was doing.

You don't care that she "DID it", just that she tried to HIDE it.  Okay.  Except that you just said on this SAME PAGE, "neither one should be done in 2015. Both are super offensive. Nobody should be painting their faces as another race."

So the official position is now, "Black face and White face are both offensive and neither one should be done in 2015... but it's fine to make fun of a gay man for being flamboyant because everybody can get it."  

And you think that's successfully resolved the inconsistency of your position?

When I said I didn't care that she DID it, I am saying my FOCUS was on her playing stupid. It being offensive is a given, I don't think I needed to say that it was an offensive act. So I wasn't even focused on that.

That's not an uncommon sentiment.

People picking and choosing religious virtues to follow isn't a new concept. I don't know s/n off hand but I've seen plenty of declared Godly people doing these far outside the parameters of their theology
