Athletes that hung on way too long

Champ Bailey - All he had to do was move to safety. You got exposed in the Ravens playoff game and refused to move.

I cant put Farve. Its his foolishness off the field that did him.

These athletes are such delusional liars when they talk about retirement. I remember a direct quote from Shaq in the early 2000s where he said that he was going to retire as soon as he start to not have it anymore, saying that he won't end up like one of "these 10 point per game centers". Which of course was a direct shot at Hakeem, Robinson and Ewing who were on their last legs at that point. In the end, dude retired in just as sorry of a way with the Celtics.

Kobe said that he would retire as soon as he started to lose it, but he kept trying to come back and fail miserably.

I used to think that Isiah Thomas was a coward for retiring at the age of 33, but after all these years of seeing these corpses shamelessly prostitute themselves for money I've gained a great deal of respect for Isiah's decision to retire early.

Shawn Kemp. My dude had a gut on the Magic. Looked like he was wearing the wrong size jersey too. I'll say Dikembe Mutombo as well. But I loved him in relief on that Rockets team. Dude was still blocking shots.

Its AI's own fault hes not playing. ****, he could be playing right now if he got off his high horse. He could've been a good role player coming from the bench but no, he still wants to start  :smh:

Ali is the only one i care about letting a great man suffer the way they did is some of the worst **** I've ever seen, basketball and baseball players should play as long as they can.

Nah, you can't put Mario up there  he was still averaging a point per game when he had to retire!

That's still up there with one of the greatest statistic comebacks ever.

In that pic it will be 87 over 66. Mario, when on the ice, was untouchable at all ages and times :pimp:

Cancer :smh:

True that

Just looked it up again... After taking three years off in retirement, when he came back at age 35 he scored 229 points in 170 games before retiring at 40. He missed at ton of games but man...
