Megabus.com just dropped a bunch of $1 bus tickets

After my girl was left stranded last month waiting on the megabus to come, I don't support them anymore.

You get what you pay for.
 
Thanks, OP! Just copped 10 tickets. How did you get word the $1 tickets dropped today? I wanna be in the loop. PM if its a secret :nthat:

Pretty much the bus never showed up. It was the last bus for the night 10:30PM bus and megabus claimed the bus would be a hour late. 11:30 rolls around bus still isn't there , so my fiance called megabus they gave her an excuse saying the bus would come in another hour. I looked on the app around 1am to get an update om the bus.Tthe update said that there would be no more updates on the buses where abouts. She called them back and they were closed smh.

So by this time it was too late to get a greyhound ticket for the same night so she had to wait at greyhound until 6am for the next bus.

Crazy thing is one of our friends daughter was on the bus from NC headed to RVA to pick up my fiance. We found out that she had it even worse. The bus ended up breaking down on the side of the road and passengers were told another bus would come. After hours of waiting on the side of the road the 2nd bus never showed up so they all had to find their own way to their destination.

Pretty crazy story and it's enough to make me never want to take that chance with megabus. I used to ride faithfully from RVA to DC for $8 round trip.
 
I never heard a good thing about mega bus.

People take them back and forth to Chicago but it always sounds like trouble, not coming, half the bus is drunk and wilding out probably a ton of other reasons too. :lol:

I took a megabus to Wisconsin from Chicago to go buy my car. It was only like $15, pretty cheap. On the way there, this sketchy looking dude with face tats asks me if we're allowed to drink :lol:, he proceeded to bust out a bottle of Hennessy and drink. I didn't mind, but I can see what you're saying being true

Did she end up getting a refund at least? This stuff could happen with any airline/bus company though, just sayin. I've used megabus about 15 times and never had a problem that bad.
 
- Perfect deal for my bi-weekly Philly - NYC jaunts!   Price makes the upgrade to the front upstairs window seat a no-brainer.  Good lookin' out!

Yeah she got a refund, but you tryna tell me an airline or other bus company is just gonna leave customers stranded on the side of the road with no communication or place to go.

Didn't even have the decency to let people know the bus broke down and wasn't coming.

Megabus stop's arent all at major stations , some stations are just in a parking lot. There was no shelter or food. Some people had to sit out there ALL NIGHT in the cold.

An airplane doesn't come good companies place you in a hotel or another flight not just have you sitting there looking stupid ****** out.

I don't tolerate terrible customer service, its 1 and done with me. I've used megabus more than 15 times and I'm done with them now. You can take that risk I'll pass. Greyhound is a much more established bus company, with more buses. If I had to take the bus I'm going with them.
 
i usually take lucky star to Boston from NYC... prices have gone up but its still 30 dollars on the weekends so thats not too bad.. 

Megastar is usually located a block or 2 from any lucky star bus.. they make stops drive fast and have wifi... win/win
