Which is why it irks me to no end that Obama has yet to call a white mass shooter a "terrorist".


Or hell, any politician of note.


But i get it, the backlash, outrage, and career implications would be a nightmare.

It's kind of naive to think that this wasn't linked to some kind of terrorist organization, right? I mean, this girl doesn't look a day over 18. Running around in combat gear with automatic weapons opening fire at a place like this? I hate to make assumptions but it's hard to imagine what the motive is here.

If people actually knew the definition of terrorist then we wouldn't have this problem/issue of labeling who what.

If the dude was just a disgruntled employee, how did he convince the other two to join in? And no average joe could have pulled this off. Who made the pipe bombs?? Like ish isn't adding up

Didn't they say there was some sort of altercation today and he left and came back? He might have had a larger type attack planned for another day and after what happened he just decided that today was the day...
 
Jeez some of you guy's thinking is so black and white. There are all kinds of crazy people in every race and religion. Most Muslims I have come across are good people, and the bad ones don't really follow the Koran and only use some quotes to legitimize their crazy views. Same thing that radical Christians have been doing.

And did you guys know California already banned assault rifles to carry....and guess what, these terrorists snuck assault rifles to commit their terrorism, calling for gun control is just going cause more victims to innocent people since criminals will be more emboldened to carry illegal weapons and use them against unarmed citizens.

I agree, it is "corny". But the labels are whats important here. The labels are what keeps us bickering among ourselves. Never getting to the root of the issues. You can see examples everywhere you look across any social media platform. It is why it is heavily emphasized in the media. It's the main talking points of the dialogue in these types of situations. And for good reason, too.

The difference between the two is that innocent American civilians were blatantly targeted during 9/11. There was nothing "military" about it. Thousands of innocents in the Middle East die/died, but it's collateral. I'm not defending why we went to Iraq, but it's clear that these extremists TARGET innocent lives.
