Mass shooting in San Bernardino

Fight back?

Bruh, ISIS ain't coming across the sea in their Toyota Tacomas to take away our freedomz bruh.

That's the ****, we need to stop with the fear mongering. Like I said before, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, the war on terror creates more terrorists. We stop going out there and making things worse, then we stop alienating folks over there and over here.

Right now the damage is done, in the interim we'll likely see some more situations like this. But in the long-run I think we can definitely put an end to all this madness if we just let things play out over there.
I'm more scared of them white, "i have no gov't" folks than I am of ISIS.

I'm more concerned with Russia/China collab that can lead to WW3.

I do, however, agree with letting the Middle East...Middle East.

We got punked out of Africa (I'm sure we still have interests there but the U.S. pretty much washed their hands of Africa)

And let these countries run themselves.

We don't need their oil anymore so the U.S. needs to stop acting like they care for Muslims there

Murders in the US have been on a steady decline since the 90s. Murders were lower in 2014 than at any point in at least the last 40 years. As of today, from what I've gathered, we have had almost an 11% increase (apx. 1500) in murders in 2015 and theres still a month left.

I think for starters we need to analyze what has happened this year specifically to cause such a drastic increase. I'm sure a little bit of professional research could drill down a few, if not the main, cause(s) for the drastic increase in homicides this year. Additionally, we could look at what has been successful in the past in reducing murders and try to replicate that if possible.

I think those are probably gonna be the easiest solutions to the problem in the short term. As opposed to arguing the logistics of gun confiscation or increased background checks. Honestly, I don't have anything against gun control in theory but I don't really trust a bunch a bureaucrats to effectively solve anything through regulation and policy. Plus theres no money in it.

CNN interviewed the widow of one of the victims, he was a born again christian who worked with the killer. the wife said he would tell anyone who listened about his faith and be extra self-righteous, etc.

interesting workplace environment.

edit: and i'm only being half-sarcastic with that comment. both of these guys wouldve gotten the real life block user from me.

This workplace "argument" probably started after the Paris shooting and it illustrates perfectly how one attack influences and spills over into another. Which is exactly what ISIS wants. They're preying on the igorance of the masses and playing those fools like puppets all the while they're too dumb to see it.

It's the exact purpose of terror. It's not to create any real damage when you look at it statistically: They can destroy a couple of buildings out of a million other buildings that exist in the country and can only manage to kill 0.0000000001% of the population, but the psychological damage that they hope snowballs into an all-out religious war is the real damage.

During times like this we really need to emphasize that people should keep their mouths shut about religion/race in the workplace. A lot of HR departments seem to take this stuff lightly, but you never know when an ignorant commemt can turn into a fight or somebody shooting up the place.

Not in anyway trying to victim blame, I'm just saying with recent events and all the rhetoric being spewed from The Human Toupee, it's possible more of these unfortunate events will occur.

"Thalasinos said she had heard that before the shooting there may have been an argument at the party. She described her husband as very outspoken about Islamic terrorism, with strong conservative politics.

"I'm sure that he went down fighting and protecting people," she said.

Thalasinos' last public Facebook post, written just hours before the shooting, mentioned receiving a threatening message related to Israel."

Don't talk about race, religion, or politics at the bar or at work. Will save you a lot of trouble in life.

This.
