When did this trend start?

People with real small bb naps have a hard time getting waves because of the length of their hair and the gradient bands thickness. People with waves are just naps less tightly bound.

If you haven't grown your hair or let it be in its natural state long enough you have no idea what your hair look like.

I hate these lil ****** walking around the city with this look. Some think they banging hard, others just trying to fit in. Got the barber charging $15-$20 for a basic lineup talking bout it's considered a full cut, WTF!?

Let the youngins have it. My pops use to look at our generation weird in the early 2000s when u had dudes rocking the ai braids and getting all types of weird designs. Then come out with half braided and half out smh.

I look at it like this breh, barbers moving into the digital age. Even hood spots. If you're booking a lil' punk *** edge up and slicing 15 minutes off an hour block, I'd charge you for a full cut too (no I'm not a barber).

Barbers doing appointments via their websites now, that hour block they could be doing something more time intensive/worthwhile.

Nobody got time for these cats coming in two-three times a week for a lil line up man, go get yourself an Andis T-Edjer for that famb.

This is how I see it as well.

On this note, has anyone's hair become nappier as they got older? Maybe its because ive had an afro for the last 7-8 years but I got it cut down to about a 3 and as its been growing im getting waves/loose naps.

That's why I don't even trip on what the jits do.

lol me and my brother was talking about this cut while we was watchin the NBA playoffs. We just called it the "2015" cuz just about errbody had it this year.

But on a serious note people who follow trends like this are just lame and I'll never understand it.

Basically all my lil cuzzos got this cut right now to grow out for dreads.

Not a bad look. They call it a duke or some **** like that.

Duke Starting Five

Because all of dukes starting five had this

No one really started it tho...wiz made ****** grow their hair out with the nappy spiked look and dudes started curling it when the sponges came out

Actually, this hairstyle originated in NYC in the 1980s
Stars such as Big Daddy Kane, and Father MC were known to rock this hairstyle. The south is just now catching on to this. They must've just listened to a Big Daddy Kane track and now they think that their part of the culture

Of course
