Judging by the yellowish tone of the rubber strap on the button of the gator, those are probably the 2001's. Won't believe it unless it is confirmed by a credible source. This isn't the 1st time cherrywood's were rumored to release.

for casual wear yes. remove the carbon fiber insole and replace it with a reebok question or answer shock pad insole and its heaven
those thick reebok answer insoles go great with double stacked zoom air of the xviii. xix's too
