The Air Jordan XVI returns in 2016

Maybe a few stores got limited pairs and were able to sell all of their stock within a few weeks. However I remember the great majority stores having all of the mids available for months. Only the white/ red lows sold out within a few days of release. Maybe it was different in other parts of the country.

^could Bex the only one I never saw in stores was the black and red pair. I see the bulls 17+ for 170 and less on ebay. If these make it to that price I might have to snag a pair.

Also, are these the only xvi coming out? It's very rare for a one off from jordan when a model releass. I would think there is at minimum one more color to be released.

$250 is def a deterrent for me especially since TB IIIs dropping the same month. Such a shame.

Take my word, in the year 2001, retros were not yet dominant. If you were on your retro game at this time, you weren't the leader of the pack, but you were still far ahead of most.

Retro 11s were still hyped in 2000-2001. If you read Kicksology's review of them from back then, he even points out how he doesn't believe in Retro 11 eBay resellers.

Idk what the basis of this post it, but retros were popular in 2001. I specifically remember in March of 2001, there were lines for the Cool Grey XI, then again in May for the Red XI lows and the Carolina Blue. Then Christmas of that year we got the Black/Red XI. The Blk/Red XI's weren't a problem because there was a ridiculous amount produced. So much so, I remember we got more shipments of those in January 2002. I worked in NTNY at the time and there were so many pairs produced, they sent a sheet around the store asking people what their size was because we all got GUARANTEED pairs for discount. That was the first time I've experienced that and they never did it again. With all that being said, the XVI's kinda got lost in the shuffle around that time. It was sandwiched between the Colombia XI's retro in January, then the Cool Grey XI. I personally regret not copping. I had them stashed away and put them to be sent to the outlet (dumb move by me). At this time, people were still iffy about these newer Jordan models being made compared to the retros. Hell, I had the white/navy AND Blk/Red XVI's stashed away to cop on the sale price and discount, and still I boxed them to be sent to Jersey Gardens. One of my biggest regrets smh.

To be fair, 11s/Retro 11s were ALWAYS popular. I mentioned earlier that Kicksology.net covered the 2001 retro release and tge early online resellers on eBay scooping up pairs for resale. I don't think many other retros around that time (ironically including 2001 1s) were that hyped up.

16s were awkward because the shroud design was kind of polarizing. My cousin copped Cherrywood 16s on steep discount as well.
 
So who is copping on RD? XVIs are my favorite model so its no question for me

Hopefully black/red XVIs drop in 2017
 
If they hit discount the way the 17+ has, I'll gladly pick these up. Saw the 17+ for 180 at Sheikh today. They are worth it at that price instead of 250.
