JB 2015, A year in review

Overall I think this year was a let down as far as the releases we got but it made improvements as far as the increase in he quantity of each release and the improvements in materials used. We still got some ****** craftsmanship tho (Hares) I am pleased with the Oreo & Legend 4, 72-10s, & Maroon 6s which are my favorite releases.
 
I thought this year was great. JB released some of the hottest OG retros along with some of the worst ones.

But let's put it this way. You don't have to buy what you don't like.

I bought only what I like and I am a satisfied customer this year.

purchased:

Chicago 1s (hard to get)
Shattered BBs (very hard to get)
Chicago 1.5 (easy)
Supreme Camo5 (hard)
Bred 1.5 (easy)
Aqua 8 (very easy)
CP3
72-10 (got them without even a sweat)

I think 8 pairs of heat in a year is good enough for me. that's already aroudn $1600 i spent. any thing more than that is just being greedy lol

in summary, JB finally listened to our prayers and slowly driving resellers out of the equation. no more paying $350 for the 11s, no more having hard time trying to cop what I like.

It was up and down, 7's were wack to me besides the hares. French blues were ok, but not for me

A lot of lows people didn't want, and that's going to continue this year with the V.

A lot of terrible retro+ models

Some cool collaborations, PSNY, Supreme and DSM

Ended with the aquas and chromes
 
Copped a lot this year, BOB 10s, oreos and FB 7s, hares, bred 11 lows, cobalt 11 lows, referee lows, anthracite 9s, maroon 6s and 72-10s

best: maroon 6s, anthracite 9s and referee lows......... everything else this year was meh except chicago 1's

worst: pro star 5s

sleeper: georgetown 11s

Iono man the 7s looked alright this year imo.
 
Barcelona days, Barcelona nights, n7s, MTM 7s and Sweater 7s were ALL ugly. The c&c pack was cool but as a whole the 7s sucked.
 
Only Jordans I purchased were both the XI lows. Was going to grab the XI lows non patent but they turned out to be a take on the ref sample pairs as opposed to the unretro'd OG blk/red pair so I passed.

Then for some reason the Jordan 1 The Return appeared on my sought after list. Haven't grabbed either of the pairs I want yet, for I'm looking to grab under retail. Missed out on the Chicago's a few days back unfortunately.

2015 was loaded with heat to me. I feel it was a great year. I picked up all shoes that'll I'll be happy to own years down the line:

Honestly, this year was pretty sucky for JB. Sure, a few classics came back, but at the same time, so many shoes were released that should have stayed in the vault. For example, Pro Stars 5. Another prime example: Jordan 1.5, etc. etc. The "Year of the 7" was incredibly disappointing, and nothing really caught my eye. Anything that did, I was able to scoop, (OVO,7210,Chi) so thats pretty good. What I am glad about is the fact that OG cw's sat. If you wanted to cop, you were free to do so w/o the bs resell prices killing your vibe. Thank god for that. 
 
Also, if it's the Year of the 7, how come they didn't drop the other colorways (e.g. Cardinals) ???
 
This year sucked big-time as far prices go due to higher retail and high resell due to availability of a lot of shoes. As far the shoes themselves there was definite improvement through out the line but it was hit and miss. I personally picked up 33 pair of J's from this year and wanted about 3 more. I can't do that next year cause I don't have anything left I want to sell. I hope I can afford 1 pair a month.:rolleyes
 
In terms of quality I think it did get better on certain pairs (Such as on both the Columbia and Oreo 4's) I don't feel like the new $30 markup really justifies that though. In terms of Jordans still sitting on the shelves? Good, great actually. I never was one to care whether they sold out first day or not, but I do remember back when I first started collecting in 2007 or so, retros use to sit where I lived at. So it's good to see pairs that people really wanted sitting again.

Favorite release: Chicago 1's or Maroon 6's
Worst release: "Marvin the Martian" 7's
