Seems like the tone was jb was phasing out resellers w/ the price increase.

This method seems to put resellers back in the drivers seat for an even larger profit.

People got lives like above members said. :ain't nobody got time for that gif:

JB just have their shoes back to resellers. This is messed up especially with the Nike air and flu game releases coming.

Don't worry when someone strolls in a shoe store and see such and such shoe on the shelf within a few hours everybody will know thanks to social media that's the only thing that made this work back in the day because release s spread from word of mouth social media was not around and you had better chance of it not selling out before you found out.

This is true

Yeah but I like to plan releases months in advance, most of us can't (out shouldn't have to) just drop $200+ at random times. If there is even a 2 month notice id be happy

I like the mixture of raffles and fcfs that I have around my way. This is just gonna make everything sloppy and sketchy. No problems back in the day, but even if there were specific release dates back then, shoes generally wouldn't sell out. Different times and different environments

This is dumb of JB, people are def going to get robbed/ killed at a higher rate now especially if they go back to doing straight fcfs. Raffles worked great

Now correct me if I read that tweet wrong

But Footlocker is getting rid of their in store raffles

And switching over to the electronic method that we had with the maroons where the cost is automatically taken out once you win

It won't be long before someone finds a hack to exploit that like with Snkrs

Multiple phones is a must

I'll sit out a few releases and wait for Niketalk to give feedback on the subject (If the system used isn't how they did the maroons)

Who exactly is getting killed and robbed? It's only happened a few times

I hope this shoe game thing is gonna start dying off in 2016 TBH

How are they gonna sell their in store stock though?

Probably do FCFS at random time frames,

But that's even more messed up All it takes it one call to have your friends friend pack the family van up and clear out the store stock.

Hopefully the system is put in place when there's a nice gap between heat dropping

The stores can sell their in store stock using the upcoming FTL, Finishline, Champs, etc.. Mobile app.

The company knows how much inventory each store has.

1. Send out a notification to sign up for a raffle for the shoe.

2. Pick your local store

3. Probably charge automatically if selected ( or just pay at store although that leads to other issues).

4. Profit

Less in store raffle games, wasting time doing raffle signups, and they can grab more data off their app users.

Im sure someone will figure out a way to try to exploit the system, but at least the stores are trying something.

I like the new Nike raffle system and I hope other stores use something similar.

Okay but what does that have do with omitting release dates though? It may have worked in the 90s but with social media and bots/backdoor sales who knows how this'll work
