Brynhildr. I just finished Alex normal 2 weeks ago. I didn't like it so I'm not in a rush to do Alex Savage. I Tank(WAR) so the pressure is insane especially as a WAR keeping yourself alive. My play is casually but it still feels like a life away from life. Soon as I log in its Ex roulette, Leveling roulette for (healer or another tank), crafting, gathering, someone in the FC needs a tank for clear blah blah blah. The time sink is real.
I've heard A3 and A4 are 2 of the worst raids in terms of fun because there was no margin for error.

I'm on Behemoth. A3 savage was especially brutal. A4 was less so. The time sink is real and you've got to commit to it daily if you're doing high end raiding so you can get your tomes and keep up with gear. It just got to be more work than it was fun. If I ever get enough free time again I'll probably come back.

I think you were the NTer that put me on to MTQ when I first started the game and had healers rage quitting Satasha nm in my blm. I watch her stuff religiously (even for content I'm not up to yet for the puns).
Do you raid with her?
A few people from my FC take breaks after clearing hardcore content so I hear you.

Yeah, I was part of her old raid group. We did Coil 1-13 together. My schedule didn't allow me to continue with them for the expansion so I swapped FC's. We're good friends outside of the game though. She's a Twitch partner so I mod for her Twitch when I get the chance. If you've stopped by her channel you've certainly seen me in there. If you haven't, she streams XIV and other stuff like 3-4x a week so if you haven't checked out her Twitch you should.

9 would be a cool remake because the original graphics are so outdated..but the characters and story are amaze..but it will never happenI still need to play FFIX

Any forest should work. Just as long as you go through the mine before heading to Junon.
The important thing is just to make sure you answer the right questions for her to join you.

7 is a very easy choice to pick as the best, esp if you were a kid who grew up playing older final fantasy games on NES then SNES.
the big jump from NES/SNES graphics to the PSX graphics and when the full motion movies came on was mind blowing! i remember playing the game not being able to wait until the next FMV cut scene. it really locked players in to continue the game/story.
it made people who didnt play rpgs easily get into it i think.
i still like VI... (final fantasy 3) the best on the snes. just the overall game play and secret items and all the characters and fighting and magic system. and all the variety and customization with the items and relics.
7 just came at the right time during that big jump in gaming technology. im sure ill get flack, but i think if any final fantasy story so far was made at that time and called it FFVII would also be the favorite pick so i can see why some would call it overrated. but no denying, FF7 really was the most game changing. everything after, our eyes are already used to 3d graphics and full motion movies.

Best video game series of all time
Good points made, fellas. VII is very overrated but i have to admit. From beginning to finish, no other installment was better. XIII gets alot of unwarranted hate. It's the best looking installment to date, the music was excellent and "Lightning Returns" battle system is the best one to date.

I completely disagree with VII being overrated. It had the best soundtrack, the best gameplay, the characters are all dope and I care about them all...

I didn't like VIII like that. IX was dope but is not equal to vi or VII IMHO.

I'm stuck on a3 and pretty much had the same experience. The time you need to put in is real. I prefer it to the easier content though so I hope they don't dial it back for the next raid tier.
