Official Final Fantasy Thread | XII is the GOAT

He probably unlocked a achievement for potions and Phoenix Downs used.
:rolleyes . The only time where I legitimately blew through potions and pheonix down's would probably be in costlemark tower. Hardly used any recovery items against the adamantoise.

You actually like that game, way too kiddie imo. It's a decent turn based FF but the Pokemon element is something I wasn't feeling and basically the deal breaker. Seems like something Nintendo would put out.
I really enjoyed it, but alot of it came from the Nostalgia. Both from previous FF titles and from Pokemon; I haven't played one since Red on Gameboy.

Not even that.. But I feel like doing all those side quests would level you up way higher than 62..
Ive completed a few over 80 sidequests but not every sidequest in the game, the sidequests I've been doing has not really been giving much exp. I could grind to get to level 99 but its not a goal I really care for.

Well that means you havent completed 100% then though....

What is your definition of 100%? Just curious

I just got the headlights and gave it to Cindy... So why am I still getting attacked on night drives -___-

Btw I just realized I completed the last spiracorns hunt a long time ago when I wasn't thinking about the Ultima Blade. Am I screwed?

I have no interests in the lights. Between fast travel, flying, barely getting attacked on the road and being a high enough level to handle anything sans red giants I ride around smoothly. The red giants can get handled but they're not worth the trouble, they have some legit defense.

No you can re-do hunts. There is also a later hunt that gives you a better drop rate.

Get the papa bird and baby bowl recipe from the girl sitting down eating at the lookout in lestallum and its a 100% drop rate on enemies. Got the sturdy helixhorn as soon as I ate the meal and did the spiracorn hunt in old lestallum. Still waiting for Cid's slow @#$ to finish my ultima blade. Its been like 4 days game time since I gave it to him. I also heard there's another sword in the family stronger than it.

Ohh ok

I think I been stuck on chapter 8 since Christmas. I literally can cross into chapter 9 anytime I want to. But I hear it gets pretty linear in later chapters so midas well get as much of the side quests out of the way as possible. 8 to 9 missions to clear and kinda contemplating even doing the dungeon with the red Giants before I head over to chapter 9. I wouldn't have even considered that until I heard the levels you dudes were on when you completed that dungeon. Maybe if I get to level 65 by the time that dungeon is the only one left on my plate.. I like to be ten levels higher than the recommended level for these dungeons. Right now, I'm on level 60.

You still need to speak to her and equip it.
It's in the customization menu for the car.

Why don't you just save up a bunch of XP and hit the 3x hotel in chapter 9?

Scrap It Now! is the later hunt. It is level 61 and found in Old Lestallum. You fight Leukorns and the drop rate is like 75% so it's alot easier to get if you don't have the recipe for better drops.

You should also try and use the Sword of the Wise arminger if you have it, as it increases the odds of breaking appendages.

But didn't someone say that someone offers a meal on the lookout in lestellaum?

I could.

Actually don't since when u do the next chapter it doesn't let you carry over your xp

I did. There is a meal and it works. I'm sure his way is cool and all, but I got the helixhorn as soon as I ate the meal and did the spiracorn hunt first time. There's two meals you can get at the lookout actually just make sure you talk to both of the girls sitting down eating. You most likely have the ingredients already.

If I didn't sell it, like a dumb ***

There was a time in the game where I was hard up for money, so I sold items to have money to buy weapons. And I have the strongest feeling that the helixhorn may have been one of them.

Anyway, my dumb *** didn't realize at the time that doing hunts was the best way to make money

I guess we will see when I talk to the ladies on the lookout today.

Yea I don't think I'm ready for the costlemark dungeon yet, even at level 61. I got drunk on elixirs just taking down the two mechs at Formouth Garrison.

I finished the castle mark at 68 with little to no problems. Just got to summon when you can
