For those of you who liked the 16-bit FF games (5&6).. did you ever play FF4 the After Years???

It was a second part they made for FF4, which was originally only released in Japan in the 90s, and they made this which was available on Wiiware in 2008..you had to buy certain episodes for each character separately to complete the game. It was then released with FF4 on PSP as a bundle. Anyway, this game was very impressive and extremely challenging.. I felt the re-vamped 2D graphics were DOPE..but I don't think a lot of ppl played this game but i highly recommend..they made a 3D version of this game for iOS, android, PC..that I really didn't care much for because it basically has Nintendo DS graphics





 
I played it. It wasn't bad actually. I grabbed it with IV in the PSP FF IV Complete Collection. 
 
I never was able to get in to the Final Fantasy series

I'm playing 7 right now and actually enjoying it

Man I missed out

To me VII had a better story. I also hated that in VIII, all of the monsters would stay on par with your level. In a game where I grind so hard, I want to see the fruits of my labor by whooping some *** in an area that I previously had difficulty with.
 
X was very good but the lack of a world map killed it for me. Used to be on Blitzball like crazy.
 
The first FF game I played was 5.. I guess you can say that was my first RPG..unfortunately I got stuck on an area.. and eventually stopped playing..

Then I started playing 6..each character had distinct qualities and skills (Blitz, Sword Tech) and it was the first game where I actually pulled an all nighter playing...The progressive storyline along with the different area to grind at never got old..and at that point in time along with Street Fighter..was my favorite game of all time

7 was amazing..but once I beat it I really never played it after that

Also played 9 and 10 but did not really get that far in those two games

Then 12 came out and became the best game I ever played..the new open world was done flawlessly IMO..I loved the gambit system..as well as the new features such as chaining..they had a hunt club I which you need to go out to a particular area to defeat the enemy..and then you receive a prize in return..once u defeated them..most of them were gone forever..but if you stole items from them instead..you could get rare and hard to obtain items..there were so many different tasks to complete..I judge a game by its replay value and I still have a PS2 to play it..it was the first time I was introduced to Perfect Gaming as well..but that's a whole new topic

I bought 1/2/3 and FF Dimensions for iOS but did not complete them..out of those I liked Dimensions the best

Never played 8/10x2/11/13x2 or 14..I really want to test 14 out
