Wassup NT,

I just got placed in Baltimore for a job next month. Idk anything about the area though. So I would just like for you guys to fill me in on it. I know its rough in some parts but im used to that.

21224 is the zip ill be working in.

I have 2 buddies that will be here too. IDK if I will room with them or get my own spot but were all looking at about 60k a year.

Whats some nice places to live in and things to do in Baltimore or surrounding areas.

stay by the pier it's mad nice, the inner city side of bmore expect traffic to be held up by 12oclockin but other than that bmore is cool

The inner Harbor and fells point are probably your best bet as far as anything to do goes.

R.I.P

I would also check out Mount Vernon or Charles Village if you're looking for easy access to all the action (bars, harbor, etc.) without having to deal with the noise that comes with living downtown.

Welcome to the greatest city in America :pimp:.

You'll be able to live fine off a 60k salary. If you wanted to make your dollar stretch, move out closer to the county line. Dundalk/Essex isn't too far from you. Rent is cheap over there....or grab an appartment by the travel plaza. It's nicer over there and still cheap and closer. Boston Crossing off Boston street I'd recommend if you're in that area.

Nightlife is kinda phony if you like to frequent more urban clubs/bars tbh. DC nightlife is where it's at. But if you wanna go out here, can always hit Fells Point, Fed Hill, Towson or Powerplant. Strip clubs...Norma Jeans & 2 O'clock club.

Explore the city man, it's very unique. If you mind your business, you'll be straight. Just know where you are and be mindful.

So im def not trying to stay in the hood and im not in the drug game but I will be looking for tree lol

don't tell that man to live in Dundalk or Essex.  Unless you enjoy being surrounded by white trash/******s and displaced dudes from jersey.  Other than that everything else is accurate.  Fells, Fed Hill, and areas around Camden are your best bets.  Much younger crowds, students, young professionals, etc.  Baltimore is kind of cool and unique.  Enjoy.
