95-96 bulls vs 2015-16 warriors

Are they playing today's rules or 90s? If they Bulls played in 2015 they would get smoked!

All of Bulls players would be fouled out. Today's rules allows players to be trickier and more tactical with their playing style.

With todays rules Jordan and Pippen would average over 60 ppg. Defense is weak as hell. Penetration often not stopped.

Yeah sure okay! That's exactly what would happen.

I actually meant 60 ppg together not each  they already combined for around 50 ppg since 1991.

If there would be any challenge for the 1996 Bulls from 2015 teams i would say it would be the Spurs. Because they really play good team basketball which makes it very difficult to defend as you cannot focus on certain star players.

Jordan and pippen made it hard for teams to get the ball past half court at times.

Pippen would check curry, Jordan would have klay. Hard to see the bulls losing. But who knows.

get outta here this crap

Sure the Bulls can't play that tougher style of D with today's rules but then that means the GOAT has an even easier time dominating.

People forget how long the Bulls were. Kukoc off the bench was a unique talent and they had 2 legit 7-footers in Longley and Wennington.

GS is good but I have a tough time buying anyone could be mentally tougher than that trio.

Cmon brah draymon scared of 2016 Artest, he had to reevaluate his life.

-Curry would boogie on MJ so easily and Warriors swept them easily

See how stupid hypotheticals are

warriors got dominated on the glass by tristian thompson

rodman would average at least 25 rebounds a game vs the soft front line

Bogut would throw it down on Luc Longley

1996 Bulls had Luc Longley playing against Centers like Shaq, Alonzo, Olajuwon, Ewing, Robinson, Mutombo and yes, the Bulls handled that mismatch well enough to win.
Bogut would be just an average Center in the 1990's.
Today there are almost no star Centers anymore.

Are we sure they are even better than the Spurs or Cavs this year?
Of course. they've won a bunch of regular season games so we can go ahead and mention them with some of the greatest NBA title teams in the history of the league

Yeah. The season is not finished yet. Remember when curry averaged 38ppg after a few games? Some fans were like he would be better in scoring than MJ in 1987 where he averaged 37ppg.
Now after roughly 30 games, curry cooled off and averages 30ppg.

Before people compare warriors with the 1996 Bulls, they should think of the 2014 Spurs, 2001 Lakers first.
And people forget that the 1996 Bulls were coached by Phil Jackson who has 10 rings as a head coach.

actually, he has 11.

remember when the lakers had 4 HOF players in their starting line up while being coach by phil jackson who had 9 rings at the time and they lost to Pistons?

I know that he has 11. The first one was won when he was a Knicks player in the 1970s.

The 2003 Lakers lost to the Pistons as there is always a time when several players Lack in inner motivation or failing in performance.
Also, Kobe was increasing his importance in the line up and we all know that Shaq had quite a big ego in his prime.
Back to back is often, threepeat is quite rare. Fourpeat is extremely difficult to achieve.

I'm just making stuff up  you guys can have your hypothetical title as warriors go for another

So if the defenders can't guard like they did in the 90's that means Jordan averages 40+ easily. Pippen is in the 30's.

It basically comes down to the rule set at this point.

They were essentially playing two different sports.

Nah, thats exagerated.
People claiming 90's nba teams would be fouled out in todays game is nonsense.
Not all teams played dirty like the Bad Boy Pistons or tough like the 1990's Knicks. Teams like the threepeat Bulls or the back to back Rockets played tight defense with good transition defense. Playing good defense does not mean guarding someone extremwly physically but moving quickly to the defender not allowing them to have open shots.
I play european basketball and we dont play that tough american highschool or college basketball. Still good defense is not just created by pushing or hand checking your opponent but sticking to your opponent all the time and switch wisely when required.
Todays teams they often let opponents run to the basket without putting much effort to stop them or making slow transition / switching.
Why are they playing such loose defense nowadays?
I think the nba commissioner wants more attractive offensive basketball with more alley oops, dunks and high scoring games. In the mid 1990s until around 2005, most teams were more focused with playing a good defense which resulted often in low scoring games.
If you play basketball you know how exhausted you can be whe playing really good defense. Players like Ron Harper or Gary Payton basically sacrificed their offense for their defense efforts.
I also remember an interview with MJ where he said himself in 1996/1997 that he would apppreciate it more to play more offense than defense.

Oh boy... a lot to say about this.  The way the Warriors run the pick and roll is hard to defend if you don't have the right personnel.  If you switch your 4 on to Curry, then he's roasting you (he's roasting you regardless haha).  If you double, they kick it to Draymond who kicks it to the corner for the open trey.  With the Bulls, if you have Pippen or Rodman switching on to Curry, you can live with it.  Rodman would probably also flagrant foul Curry, early, probably right at tip off.  If you switch Pippen on to him I'd take Pip straight up (he has to be healthy though).  Another thing...Klay is guarding MJ??? Not a good look for GSW.  Another thing people fail to realize is that the Bulls had a system.  They didn't rely heavily on talent the way the Cavs do.  I swear, watching Cleveland play is like watching an open run.  One last thing... gun to the head or you're house on the line.....you really going to bet against MJ?

Look what Bron did to the Warriors in the Finals

Y'all really gonna entertain the idea of Warriors vs Bulls?
