I was 14 years old when then XIV dropped and it was the first shoe I wore in Men's. Moms almost had a heart attack when she saw the price tag on these and almost shut down the whole operation. It was because of my foot finally growing and the price increase that accompanied, that I only had 2 pairs of the XIV (Black Toes and Carolina lows), compared to the 3-4 colorways I usually got.
Anyways... I never got to get a pair of these or the oxidized green pair that are dropping, so I'll be copping both.

My dad bought these for me. Wore them for a couple of weeks. Like other XIV's at the time the teeth started to peel off. I sent them back to Nike and they sent me back the brand new XV's. Wore those XV's for two summers of AAU ball. Still have them in my closet.

XVs for XIVs is a horrible trade.. XIVs are much, much better in pretty much every way...

I really don't remember what I thought about that swap from Nike. I do remember that on my AAU team we all wanted to wear black shoes and my parents were not about to buy the all blk pair of Flightposite 3's I wanted so that blk / red pair of XV's worked perfectly. On court the XV performed very well if I remember correctly. Looking back at it now you are probably right thus the reason why I will be buying those XIV's again when they release.
I'm almost positive I got those XIV's at a Foot Locker on sale / clearance so it very well could have been that by the time the peeling started to happen and I sent them back they didn't have that color way anymore. I was 14 years old at the time so regardless of what the model number was getting a brand new pair of Air Jordan's in the mail was a big deal.

You know, thats a good point. It was a different time back then. Current Jordans were relatively easy to cop, and it wasn't clear which ones we'd regret losing down the road

Sooo, I bought the Oxys while working at Champs when they first came out. Loved them but never wore them and ended up selling them on eBay. I plan to wear them this time. Lol

That white on that black looks so damn good... Then you add the simple touch of green.. The materials that were used were really nice. We going hard for 2016.

Well they'd have to add the ribbed leather too
It'd probably look ok. but I'm happy with the Indiglo as is. Smooth leather panel keeps the shoe details minimalist, and lets the white/green accents pop
