I could at least enjoy the idea of it being terrible.
I'm not tentative on seeing it (I still will) since I was going to watch it today. Probably watch it tomorrow along with The Hateful 8.

yes, and you can do that 24/7 on the internet, plus it just seems antiquated socially given the rise in feminism etc. even though some operate as scholarships which are probably

Yeah but that was only part of your post responding to pageants still existing. I'm not addressing whether they're beautiful. I'm addressing the format of pageants.
If it's just about looking at beautiful women, super model runways are the way to go.

Well what do you think is the main reason these type of things still exist? Because people enjoy looking at beautiful women. You even said yourself that models exist, because people enjoy looking at beautiful women. And the contestants in the pageants are models.

I understood what the other guy said why they still exist cuz beautiful women aside it's a pretty ugly side to it all and it's stupid imo.
I said models exist in response to you saying who doesn't enjoy looking at beautiful women. Not all models join beauty pageants and I already said I was referring models who do runway. To be broad, it can simply be models who don't do pageants. If it's about enjoying looking at beautiful women you do not need pageants. That's the gist of what I'm saying.
Again you seem to be missing about not talking about beautiful women but specifically pageants which is what I'm pretty sure what was originally being talked about in regards to them still existing.

What other guy? The gist of what I'm saying is, it really shouldn't be surprising as to why these things still exist. There are models participating, and people enjoy looking at them. It doesn't matter if the other parts of the show are absurd, and ridiculous. People will still tune in, because there are beautiful models being shown.
Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with the gist of what you're saying. You said, "if it's about enjoying looking at beautiful women you do not need pageants." Personally, I believe most of the show to be a gimmick. But since this is a show involving beautiful women, it doesn't matter how silly the show is. The models are the anchor here. Let's be real here, how many people are tuning in because they enjoy listening in on the women's political viewpoints? Not many. But the models will draw in viewers. If there weren't beautiful women involved, the show would sink like an ill- fated ship.
So basically, while I agree on your personal opinions about the show as a whole, I personally disagree about it being surprising in regards to the show still existing. beautiful women are a powerful thing. As long as there's eye candy, people will tune in.

Yes, and to him, I agree with his personal opinion about the show, as well as yours. However, just because we easily have access to viewing beautiful women, doesn't mean people wouldn't watch beauty pageants anymore. If someone is switching through the channels, seeing beautiful women being showcased in a beauty pageant will draw in the viewer. People will continue to watch the models, despite the remainder of the content being silly, and ridiculous. That's all I'm saying.
