From HypeBeast: Surprise! Six More Yeezy Boost 350s and a 550 Are Rumored for 2016

http://hypebeast.com/2015/12/yeezy-boost-350-550-2016

Love it or hate it, but the collaborative footwear line between Kanye West and adidas Originals dominated fashion headlines throughout the year. With their last pair of 2015 slated to drop on Tuesday, December 29, closing out a big, albeit SWISH-less year for West, we’re already looking forward to what the line will deliver in 2016.

According to our sources, the word is that there will be six more Yeezy Boost 350 colorways next year, in addition to a brand-new 550 model. It’s likely we’ll see the all-white 350s that have been seen on the feet of celebrities in recent months, but what other hues will “adeezus” bring to the table? And what could a Boost 550 look like? Your guess is as good as ours, so leave your thoughts in the comments below.

At the request of many NTers and thread regulars, if you want to do LCs please just post links to the pics and or the LC thread in which you have posted the pics. Thank you

Here is an extensive Beluga V2 legit vs fake comparison written up by @UmpaHimself much props for the lengthy write up and review:

During the launch I was able to cop 2 pairs of 350 V2's. About a week ago I purchased a worn once pair from Slang for $300 thinking that someone wanted to flip fast and I could take advantage of that. Ended up that the shoes were fake, but a very high quality fake. So, I wanted to take some comparison pictures because I think that if this is an early sample of what these factories have brewing, then verifying legitimacy is going to be harder then ever. I don't know the name of the factory that produced these or the origin, but I have heard some rumblings that someone was able to get the actually pattern Adidas uses. In addition, they have also created a material called true boost or serious boost... something like that. It's made just like real boost, from pellets. I don't think it's the same material, but look wise it's very, VERY close.

First let's start with the box as it's a pretty obvious tell. My retail pair from ADC is on the top or left in the pictures

View media item 2218938View media item 2218939View media item 2218940
The fake box is of a different material. Not as flimsy as the old 350 fake boxes but definitely different. The text is pretty much exact from what I can tell but way darker then the authentic. There are some variation between retail pairs (one of my boxes is darker then the other). But the fake pair has super dark brown or even black text, where as the retail box has brown text. Another thing to note is the shape of the pull tab on the box. The authentic box has more of a U shape with slits coming down. The fake is more of a V shape with no slits.

Retail

Again, as I said the text is almost identical. Even the label is done very well. They have corrected the "1" font shape to match retail. As you can see on the fake box they have even replicated those retail store secondary tags that some retailers put on them. Although the model number is clearly off, reading BB1026 instead of BB1826.

View media item 2218943
Here you can see my retail box on the right uses a corrugated cardboard, meaning you can see almost an S pattern sandwiched between the inner and outer sides of the sheet. The fake pair does not have that. Instead it's just a multi layer sheet with all straight pieces. Keep in mind that even though this is an easy tell, the box can always be swapped if someone is devious enough.

View media item 2218945
Also there is a bit of a different size in the boxes. Retail is slightly bigger.

View media item 2218946
Box construction is identical. There is even printed text under the back flap that I forgot to shoot but it's identical.

Fake

Again the fake box is weaker thus flexing and warping easily. Also the paper wrapping the shoes and stuffing the shoes is slightly different. Close but thinner.

Now on to the shoes themselves. The fake pair will always be the right foot, will always be unlaced and if you notice, it's actually laced incorrectly which brings us to our first tell. Now this is obviously something that is easily corrected, but from what I've heard, most of the fakes are leaving the factory laced incorrectly. You can see in this first pic how the fake shoe on the left has the laces coming out the inner holes, and the genuine pair is coming out of the outer holes.

View media item 2218952View media item 2218953
Fake with a wide first lace, going in the outer holes first and coming up through the inner.

View media item 2218954
Genuine with a narrow first lace, going in through the inner holes and up from the outer.

Genuine toe weave

View media item 2218957
Fake toe weave. Primeknit and stitching materials look and feel exactly identical to the genuine... EXACTLY. As far as I can tell there is absolutely no difference.

View media item 2218960
View media item 2218961View media item 2218963View media item 2218964View media item 2218965
A big difference here is stitching. The fake pair has pretty sloppy stitching and its almost hidden compared to the genuine pair.

View media item 2218967
Some above shots here. The genuine shoe has the laces in a factory knot. The shape is almost exact. I would say that the heal tab is slightly wider on the fake pair and the opening for your foot doesn't quite have that hourglass shape. Maybe that's because it's been worn already? Not sure. But you can see the attention to detail isn't quite there, but it's close. Again the difference in stitching is pretty obvious in this picture.

Another thing to note, since it's clear in the above pic, is that the fake shoe has a bit more of a yellow color to the grey. The genuine is a bit more of a blue color. But unless you had both in hand it's pretty hard to determine, so you can't really use that to go by. Plus, its almost impossible to tell colors from a picture you'd find on eBay or something.

Again, the fake shoe is the right foot and is now on the right side since we are looking from the back. Stripe is very similar. There is some clear variation here, but I think it's just as much variation as you might find between two different authentic pairs. I don't think this is a tell. The back of the sole, and sole in general is very close. No dark patches like I've seen on other fakes. Material again looks and feels identical.

View media item 2218975View media item 2218976
Laces are exactly the same. No variation in color or materials.

View media item 2218979
View media item 2218980
You can see close to the toe there are the ridges close together, then a gap and then the rest of the ridges. Not sure if this is a 3 stripes thing or what but the fake copped it pretty exactly. As far as the knit goes, right where it comes up from the sole and wraps over the toe there are those rising sun stripes. They look very close here but the fake is a little less defined. I have seen fakes that just have a jumbled pattern but this one is almost perfect.

View media item 2218984View media item 2218986
View media item 2218987
Another tell is sizing. Both of these shoes are listed as a size 11. You can see in the comparison here that the fake on the right is about a half size larger then the genuine pair. The ridges on the genuine are slightly more defined and there are a bunch of glue stains on the back of the fake. Also, while the sole looks very similar and feels identical, it is obviously thinner. It's much easier to see the "boost" through the outsole.

View media item 2218988
Even though the grey color is a bit different, the orange stripe is identical in color. The SPLY - 350 font also looks very close to me. Fake on the right.

View media item 2218989
Here is a great comparison of the boost. Fake on the right now with the laces. As you can see it's damn near perfect. Not a fake mold of the pattern but actual pellets. Pattern is not mirrored, its unique to each pair just like retail. The texture on the boost might be slightly more pronounced on the fake but I mean just slightly. Basically identical. Again you can see how thin the outsole its on the fake pair. Boost text looks exact.

Fake. The boost shows right through.

View media item 2218993
Genuine

The adidas logo is exactly the same but not as defined on the fake pair.

View media item 2218994
More boost.

View media item 2218995
Fake

Now the insoles. To me, this is the most obvious tell. Even though it has improved from the older 350 fakes, its still pretty far from the genuine. Fake is on the left with the shoelace.

View media item 2218996
Adidas logo is not as crisp and a bit more fluffy. The indentations around the heel side are just from the stitching and you would see that on a genuine pair too if it's been worn.

View media item 2218997
View media item 2218998
Now you can see on the fake where the big toe fits that it's totally missing the dotted pattern. Not sure if this is a QC error or just a flaw so it's hard to say if every fake pair is going to have that, and pretty easily fixed by the factory. Also there is a bit more white blank space above the square pattern. Also, the fake insole is again more yellow/white where the genuine insole is more blue/white

View media item 2218999
Text is the same but the font and spacing is off on the fake.

View media item 2219000View media item 2219002View media item 2219003View media item 2219004View media item 2219006View media item 2219007View media item 2219009View media item 2219010View media item 2219011View media item 2219013View media item 2219016
Fake is on top. Basically identical. Unfortunately it was worn so its hard to tell if there was any difference in font but everything else is so spot on I find it hard to believe they messed up the text on the insole.

That wraps it up. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the insides but I can tell you they look identical. Same infrared 3 stripe pattern, stitching, ultra boost style overlay and there is even a grey plastic circular piece embedded in the boost, under where your arch would rest. That is both on the genuine and fake pair. I also want to say that on foot the fakes feel really comfortable, exactly like the genuine. Very soft and bouncy. Not sure how that would hold up after hours of wear but the days of fake, hard boost are gone.

So be on the lookout for bad boxes with dark text, bad stitching, glue marks, thin outsoles where the boost is clearly seen, undefined Adidas logo on the toe and crapy off white insoles. QC is something these fakes don't really prioritize so if the shoe looks good but there is bad stitching and poor gluing then it's a possible sign. Other then that these are getting scary close and with the lack of policing on sites like Slang and eBay, tons of these fakes are going to be slipping through the cracks. Even sites like GOAT that do legit checks for you may not catch these. If these fakes would have been put into a genuine box with genuine shoe stuffing and paper wrapping, I don't know if I would have caught it. Also, keep in mind how good this looks and how little time has gone by since the unveiling of the first V2. Give it a few months an who knows what will be out there.

Why is this being made now? Shouldn't it wait until the new year when the old thread closes?

am i in time to still be in the first page ?

what's the point in waiting? might as well have the new thread oiled up and ready to go.

Why? The whole point of the new thread is to separate it from the 2015 releases yet you explicitly posted the OT in your OP.

I think you jumped be gun fam. There's hardly any info on season 2. So we're gonna have to threads talk about the same thing for the next week about the tans.

Lock this up

tans drop in 3 days, then 2 days after that it's the 1st of the year. It's really not a big deal.... the other thread is too big, that's why it's being locked soon. Nothing wrong with this thread being started now....
