What's social media's obsession with Odell Beckham Jr.? Vol. Why they hating on baby pa?

Cause these dudes ain't got no REAL male figures in their life
To tell them what's ok and not to do as a male
No one to show them and lead by example
U got these male celebrities being role models to these males growing up
Talking about its ok to walk around in skirts and capri pants :smh:
I swear I don't get this generation
And it sounds weird to me saying that
I was born in 85
Nowadays
Dudes be just as gossipy as females
Prolly more dudes on lipstick alley than females

I don't get that, because to me being so concerned about his sexuality and is he or isn't he is just as gay as him dancing.

I just chalk it up to the generation being different, as far as dressing, dancing, and how they act.

I think a lot of it is because of how many broken homes we have.
Exactly
I mean back in the day
Nobody really cared if u was gay or not
Now everyone makes it like an event
A coming out party if u will
I knew dudes who was a lil suspect when I was growing up
But we didn't really care
We may got our jokes off every now and then
But that's about it
Now u can't even make jokes
Everyone gets offended about everything
People get offended because it's not funny. Making fun of someone's sexuality is funny in like elementary school.

If he plays in DEN, this thread wouldn't have been made. You are trippin if you don't think being in NYC plays a big role in why people can't stop talking about the dude

Thats clearly debatable. Whats not is that him being excellent on the field is what made him famous.

Beast Mode getting skittles commercials and what not is cause of what he does on the field thats puts a spotlight on him.

You trippin cause i crossed out your words of wisdom?

if they want him to stop dancing, then stop him from scoring touchdowns.
Nah, they are talking about him dancing OUTSIDE of the football field
and they wouldn't be talking about that if he was a trash player.

At the end of the day, he's one of the best WRs in the league since he came in and dudes are going to hate at the success. Him dancing on/off the field just adds to that.

Great player but cry baby attitude. Dude was finally getting shut down and couldn't take the pressure and pulled one of the biggest ***** moves I've ever seen. Lost all respect for dude after that. Like my man said above me. He showed his true character last week and that character is ***** made.

I got nothing against OBJ , nor do I care if he's on the take......I just don't like his character. No doubt about it , he is good. But for me that's where it ends. Nothing is worse than a gifted athlete who gets all caught up in his feelings.

What success? What he did in the panthers game was a joke and he should've been ejected. 4 personal fouls? I thought after 2 you were gone. Dude is definitely coddled by the league.

If he didn't play in NY wasn't any good, nobody would talk about dude

agreed. but i don't think there is much hate on odell. dude was suspended so he wasn't talked about as far as i know. he might've been discussed in terms of why he was suspended (he should've been fined but not suspended, but NFL logic :smh:) but other than that, i think the hate is overblown. just about all my friends who watch football enjoy watching him play, or at least agree he's a fantastic WR. that's all that matters at the end of the day.

if anything, the focus (or media focus) is not odell but the coach, talmbout job security. :rolleyes

anyways if there is "hate" on odell, its fake outrage.

i got hate for the knicks, cuz they still suck. waiting on phil to make billionaire moves with that pen and check

Those are cool off the field successes, but doesn't win ball games or Superbowls.

I've never seen a player get hit with 4 personal fouls and allowed to stay in the game. That went wayy beyond losing his cool IMO.

I think the guy is the goods, no doubt. Just too extra and it's being coddled.

Wish Ronnie Lott was still around so he could light this MF up. These ferry *** WRs changed the game

He's a top 5 WR if we're looking at the last two seasons. He should've been ejected in the Carolina game and the refs messed that up but even if he never played that game to begin with, that doesn't change the fact he's one of the best WRs in the league right now.

I think dude is exposing a lot of homophobia and people who are in the closet themselves.

People outraged over what he did? Aqib Talib stuck his finger in a players helmet trying to poke his eye out, and absolutely nothing was made over it.
Brandon Merriweather used to do a weekly hit at an opponents head with Washington.

Now people have some sort of moral high ground over ****** football, and people trying to knock each others heads off.

Talib was suspended and rightfully so.

ODB tried to take a dudes head off on a NON-football play. He's a punk.

Those are defensive players you just named. Suh served one game suspension as well a year back. Hits where safeties are attempting to dislodge the ball is total opposite ends of the spectrum.

My point was crack back blocks are absurdly dangerous and he was attempting to crack back on Norman multiple times on plays where the whistle had blown.
