Who's got a drone? vol. DJI Phantom 3 (its technically a quadcopter)

EWD JOKES Coming.

But anyways, if I had a chance to get a drone, id get the one with auto pilot.

I'm not big on flying it cause I'll probably break it. But I would take this with me if I was snowboarding, or taking my truck off roading.
Most drones nowadays come with a "Follow Me" function.   But yea, I followed the Lily and Air Dog and think both have potential.

problem with auto pilot on drones is that it pretty much only follows you, if you walk under a tree its going straight into the branches

if you walk under a street light, you might lose your drone

Was looking into getting one. Actually asked for one for Christmas along with a Hoverboard. Probably best my wife didnt get me either.

Quick edit I made for the 'gram

Still only a handful of flights, and while it issss easy to pilot...it'll take some experience to get read good at controlling it jusssst how you like to get that hawt shot.

Can anyone recommend a sub-$100 drones that i can purchase and practice with? Maybe have a video feature too.

Can anybody help me out?

I'd like to buy a drone capable of shooting HD video, the thing is my needs are super basic and I don't think my needs warrant one of these sexy quadcopters that cost a couple of racks.

I'm basically just trying to film my training sessions, without having to man the drone myself. Autopilot sounds cool, but I don't even think I need that.

Is there something that I could just fly 40 to 50 feet above the field in a position to capture the field end to end, and have it hold the position on its own and  just sit their recording in the sky?

My understanding is most of the basis drones only have 20 minute flight time which isn't ideal but would still be very helpful, and then they autopilot back to the sport where they took off from Iva autopilot?

I guess what I'm asking is there a drone that would meet my dudes that doesn't cost a thousand dollars like the Phantom drone series?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help out.

^^ Look into the new DJI Spark. I just saw videos and reviews of it yesterday and it seems perfect for amateurs and for easy film making. It tracks you also which i thought was pretty awesome.

Plan on getting the Spark toward the beginning of the fall. Haven't seen any articles mention if the batteries are removable. Anybody know?

Nevermind, seems as though the batteries are removable.

Have a mavic pro. Thinking about getting the dji googles but probably more gimmicky.

not surprised we have some mavic owners in here :smoking that's the one I want but I aint dropping no grand on that.

that dji spark is neat but it seems like its competing with the mavic pro and once you equip it its almost the cost of a mavic pro and phantom 4 and its really nothing but a fancy selfie drone. I would take that $500 and get a phantom 3 or refurb phantom 4.

I found someone by me on craigslist willing to sell me a Phantom 3 advanced for $400 :nerd: but wifey swears I aint gon use it and its going to end up crashed or neglected :smh:
