Thread title.

Growing up my dad would always be on me for sagging my pants. Used to hate it but to be honest if I had a son id probably clothesline him for doing it.
 
I saw a dude sagging the other day who had to be wearing his sisters pants. Down past his butt and they still weren't even really baggy. Just extremely tight. It looked like he couldn't afford to buy his own clothes. Felt bad for him tbh.

Little sag is fine as long as your shirt covers it. Sometimes if I forget to wear a belt I'll sag an inch or two but my pants still stay up on their own.

These dudes out here waddling around look sad. I automatically think you're poor if I see extreme sagging.

Funny that this style hasn't gone out of style. Seems like dude are sagging them even more, even with skinny jeans :smh:

Even worse are the ones that sag them but hold them up too with their hand. How stupid is this?

Wouldn't want my child too, but there's really nothing I can do. Except not allowing it around me.

While I think it's dumb, I don't think I would do anything. I didn't want my parents telling me anything about how I dressed and for the most part they didn't. I'm sure they didn't understand why we were wearing huge white tee shirts etc back in the day so I'm sure I won't understand how kids dress when I'm older ( there's a limit of course. I think any person would agree with that. Like if the style is to walk around with you balls out that's just a common sense no)
 
I sagged heavy when i was younger. With the 4x tall tee and everything.

With that said no i wouldnt let my son do it.

These kids out here who you see sagging their pants don't have fathers in their lives. And if they do, their fathers ain't doing a good job at raising them. Growing up, my dad would verbally slaughter me if he saw me sag my pants. He would tell me how it originated in prison, blah blah blah, and "keep sagging your pants and someone's gonna stick their **** in you". I plan on doing the same with my son. No grown *** man should be sagging their pants under their ***. And that goes for young boys too. That's why when I see these kids out here sagging their pants under their *** and acting a certain way, I just think about how they must not have a positive male role model in their lives
 
If the sagging is OD I'll tell him pull em up but it won't be that serious to me ...Soon as they step outside the house they gon do what they want anyway :lol:
 
Surprisingly, sagging your pants is an American thing. When I was overseas, I didn't see anybody sagging their pants.  Even in their hood.
 
Absolutely not. Dudes walking around in the streets now that are overtly sagging their pants are simply preparing for jail.
 
Nah unless he admits that he's using that as a mating call for other like minded papis to come and sodomize him.

That last statement isn't true.

They're not allowed to wear belts...So for that you're pants will sag.

Only way I let him sag like i did is if he can dress. When he coming up and if baggy clothes are in style and he wants to hit a lil sag maybe. But i imagine we will be in a more mixed community then grew up in...so I could easily see myself saying hell no

My parents aint really get on me about it. My Dad cared more about me wearing a durag outside the house than how much I was sagging... guess cuz I didnt OD like some of these kids and the shirts were super huge anyway so you couldnt see my draws.
 
As long as he ain't rocking NTdenim or NTskirts.

When I was in middle school, people were wearing basketball shorts underneath their pants like we were ready to jump into a pick up game. But that was the thing to do. Now if I see you are wearing basketball shorts underneath your jeans, I look at you as a frailboyz.

My point is, if the time comes where sagging a little is accepted then that's what it will be. It ain't for me anymore. I did it, but people were doing it all around school.


Just as long as this isn't what's accepted.

I stayed sagging. Size 36 waist in 9th grade when obreally was like a 28. I'm a 33 now so I know I was tripping. Whenever my pops came around I pulled em up quick tho, thought son was hating on me.
 
No. if his pants fit a lil loose thats one thing but outright sagging....naaah.

My dad didn't tolerate that and neither will I.
