I've just heard from a European dealer that European prices for all XII models in 2016 have unexpectedly been increased from the initially announced 190 (~205-210 USD, depending on daily rate) Euros to 300 Euros (~325-330 USD). This is crazy!!! The dealer was even thinking of canceling the order, as it would be impossible to sell these in the store for that much (i.e. NOT a reseller price).

WTF???
 
The black and red XIIs dropped a full week before spring break in my area back in 97. This was the shoe to have back then. Alot of guys from my HS skipped class to go pick these up at lunch. I thought that was crazy back then but that following weekend they were sold out everywhere and kids came back to school breaking necks left and right. They looked so dope on feet upon first look. That red looked so bold against that grainy black leather. I was sick the whole spring break watching my cousins flex hard on the court with them. My cousin had the red see through nike pants with Maryland OTS Nike players jersey I would of sold my soul for that fit lol.  These were a shoe I remember clearly wanting bad. MJ didnt help the cause. He and the rest of the bulls balled out the whole playoffs with these. He played the most loose and confident in Black/Red XII. That series against Utah was no pushover. IMO that was Jordans toughest foes during the dynasty era. Nailbiters on the summer nights watching him play in the Black/Reds falling in love with this sneaker. Classic Air Jordan model on so many levels.

I eventually picked this shoe up in January 98 at San Marcos Nike Factory for 59.99 they had a FSR of these, obsidians, and white/navy Jumpman Pro 1. I copped the Jumpmans also and still have them to this day. The Black/Red XII was a shoe I could not kill. The most damage you can do to them is maybe make the red dull. I used these daily for PE, played ball at lunch, JROTC drill practice, wore them around neighborhood, washed car and cut grass in them and could not scuff them.  That summer I fished, played dirt field football, put them in the washer and left them in sun to dry and no sole seperation ever. I wore this shoe casually with no problems or maintenance up until 2001 when I gave them away at college. OG XIIs were built to last forever. I still have my  OG Playoff XIIs from 97 intact from years of being in a stuffy attic. My OG Taxis just started showing signs of seperation last spring after 19 years of abuse and neglect.

translucent has always been used on the OG Bred and white red 12s, even the 09s were like that
 
Why do you guys keep going on and on over trivial ish? Are you trying to expose me for some fraud or something? Seriously what point are you trying to prove? Well guess what I don't claim to be an expert like most of the people on here who have college degrees in Jordanography. The pics I saw were not authorized pairs obviously and looked different from legit pairs I have looked at. Bottom line. I just don't recall them being as translucent as my bred 11's but I could be wrong and so could you, obviously we disagree so move on. Go join the debate team or poltics or something atleast you could gain some benefit from being nitpicky.

That OG shade of red. Playoff XIII's have been my fav Jordan ever for some time now, but the OG blk/red XII might be making that a toss up.

You can best believe I'm winning cancer n all. Shoes ain't life bruh so y'all really need to check urself n grow up. I got custody of my kids and owe no support n I'm enjoying life not being bound by what you say. Most on here are the true Loosers and have no life. My friend, @PmpDaddyRobFord  just jokes around a lot (like myself), he doesn't actually mean some of the things he does or says.  He, like numerous others on NT like to just have fun while talking about shoes. Some others are treating sneakers and this forum like a business instead of a hobby. Also some people know a lot about a certain model and colorway that they feel at odds when people come with incorrect information. I know sometimes it's annoying but they really care about it like I care about the history of the shoes.
 
Thats fine n dandy and to each it's own. I got other priorities right now tho. It's nice to have things in life I never had before but it's just a hobby for me, who d F cares how clear a bottom of a shoe is. Do you like it or not? It's becoming like you gotta b an expert to like shoes nowadays when my 70yr old granny got J's. Could care less about the history of J's. JB don't care about me just the money so I don't study him like that. My primary focus is this place, shoes are down on my list but on the list.
