The same with the 2015 Chicago 1s, they should have used True Red instead of Varsity Red.

They almost a shade or two from being Royal Blue, if I do try to secure these I might have to get the Penny Hardaway Jersey with the Jordan Wizards Jersey.Some new pics:

Quality looks on point as well as shape tho. Shade of blue won't be confirmed til official pics drop. Can't just go off possible fugazi pics with incorrect lighting. The French Blue XII was meant for Wizards gear anyway.

I had some doubts about the quality of 12s after seeing "The Master" 12s but know I'm looking forward to these and definitely the Black and Red 12s. They will label the Blue "French Blue" because that is the color associated with the shoe. The only reason I would wear a Penny Hardaway Jersey with these is because Royal Foamposite Ones are expensive and there is no way I'm paying that much for them. Though I am going to get a Jordan Wizards Jersey without a doubt if I secure these.

Yea I meant the French Blue XII was made for MJ's final year with the Wizards but I don't think he ever played in them.

The XIIs were retroed right after Jordan's last season '02-'03 so they weren't made for Jordan to wear. If anyone remembers this, the French Blue's as you know them "now", were a last minute production mock-up after the Wizards fired Jordan. The OG French Blue's had black bottoms with copper trimming to match the Wizards jersey, white accents, no red. That shoe was scrapped.
Personally, I've never been a fan of the French Blue's because, knowing the backstory, the final result ended up being a simple color-palate-swapped Flint Grey XII.

Thanks for clarifying I wasn't 100% on the back story. At any rate these should match ol'school Wizards gear in MJ era perfectly. IMO

Are the silver eyelets on those plastic or metal? Last playoff 12 release bummed me out with the plastic.

that's typical quality control issue assuming you are referring to the jumpman tab on the side. my obsidian xii looks worst than that and my OGs back in the day didnt' even lined up properly with the sole, but that's just what it is with quality control. they've been crap from OG days.
