OFFICIAL @MIAMIDOLPHINS 2016 PLAYOFFS! THREAD (10-6) :::: NEXT: WILDCARD Vs @STEELERS 1:00PM EST CB

Sure... why not.
I just have no faith in this front office.
Why indications have I got that they can do something... anything... right?

Draft? It took a whole season for them to use Parker. Jordan was productive while being in, no real play over guys who were open doors next to Suh. Why no let the kid get run and learn. Ajayi got some run when back and looked good, but woul lose carries to Damien Williams... yep that's a good call. Douglas had a few games, did some good but wasn't ready so he wasn't allowed to play and learn.

Offense/Defense? Playcalling. Done.

Head coaching? Don't need to say anything really that I haven't said.

GM? They would draft someone that coaching wouldn't use for years... why even have a GM?

The best thing Ross has done is fix and upgrade the stadium...

I just have no hope that the things going on with the FO is anything I should feel optimistic about. The feeling I had since the first season Reggie Mckenzie came in and I saw/figured out what he was doing.

Dolphins have WAY more playmakers on both sides of the ball, but they are a pit due to their FO/Owner/Coaching...

End of rant... bring in whoever.

And for everything said in that rant... yes I agree with what you said.

Player development has been dismal for this team. We have to focus on making playmakers out of some of this talent.

Hewitt
Lippett
Bobby McCain
J. Phillips

Will be key in our performance in 2016.

Our defense has failed because players like Chris McCain, Walk Akins, Jamar Taylor, and even Will Davis has turned out to be horrendous.

When were they coached up to be great?
Had a good scheme they played in?
Had a scheme period?

Agreed. They could be a big key, along with getting use of our actual rookies.

Too many damn times we have rookies sit a year or two doin nothin before they start to emerge. Reshad Jones, Soliai, Misi, Vernon, Lamar Miller, Hartline, and now DVP, Ajayi and Philips. All guys that sat and did nothin as rookies.

Get actual coaches that can teach and coach guys up, add in Hewitt, Lippett, McCain, and Philips, add 3-4 more via the draft, put together with Suh, Jones, Jenkins, and maybe 1-2 others, boom, a decent defense might emerge and be useful.

Don't develop those pieces, and don't use the draft picks properly, and we'll be the same rudderless mess.

Dolphins ask permission to interview Hue Jackson.

^Hue Jackson is not a bad candidate at all.

Who would you guys prefer as our next head coach? Try and keep it realistic. I honestly don't know who I would choose right now.

Anyone with head coaching experience and a successful resume.

Hue.
Shanahan.
Kelly (coach not gm).
Payton if he is released.

I don't like Mike Tannenbaum's snake oil, Darlington touched on it in detail. Wish we didn't have this guy in the front office.

I wish a lot of things... but if you wish in one hand and sh-t in the other, you quickly find our what fills up first. Dolphins are sh-t until further notice.

That's the best thing I've seen from this season, other than Landry's one hander over his head a few weeks ago.

Yep. Ross is delusional, and Mando says the operations are in NYC? LOL what is this garbage?

My hope for HC is Tom Coughlin. I want someone with head coaching experience and there's no one better imo Tom.

I like Coughlin as a person, but the Giants have not been successful in a volatile division. I know that he just led them to the Suprbowl, but those were even 9-10 win teams. He's had success, but his team's appear less competitive as time wears on his tenure

Some Dolphins coaching news: There is growing momentum in the building for Adam Gase to become the next coach of the Miami Dolphins.

This year’s hot candidate is an offensive coordinator with no head-coaching experience at any level. So why has Adam Gase become the belle of the ball?

Because the guys looking for coaches are looking for someone with no ego. Someone who will come in and not try to take over. Someone who, for example, was able to coexist in Denver with a quarterback who wanted to run the offense. Someone who, for example, was more recently able to coexist in Chicago with a quarterback who seemed aloof and disinterested.

Whether it’s Howie Roseman in Philadelphia, Mike Tannenbaum in Miami, Jerry Reese in New York, or whoever ultimately will be calling the shots in Cleveland (I’d add Trent Baalke in San Francisco if the 49ers hadn’t already passed on Gase in 2015), Gase apparently has managed to persuade each of them that he has no agenda other than to coach, and that his ability to forge partnerships with personalities as diverse as Peyton Manning and Jay Cutler means that Gase can forge a partnership with his General Manager and/or executive V.P. of football operations.

The stated goal of each coaching hire is to consider the best interests of the team. The unspoken disclaimer is that the folks who stand to lose power or authority are thinking about their own best interests. Gase is hot in the current hiring cycle because the current hiring cycle is conducive to candidates who will stay in their lane.

Whether he will or won’t, multiple executives apparently think Gase will. Which makes him the most likely candidate in the current cycle to get a job.

Gase went to Michigan State, was there when Saban was there.
Then he went to work at LSU, where Saban was.

Also worked in Detroit, when Jon Kitna was a 4,000 yard passer during Calvin's rookie year.
He worked with Mike Martz in San Fran in 2008

Then of course moved onto Denver, with John Fox, and Peyton Manning

Until this year with Jay Cutler

He's worked with Saban, Martz, Fox, Peyton, Cutler and now may be taking over with Tannehill and the rest of the offense.

And he's 37 years old, so if we can get some of these pieces right, he could be a part of the org for a while, as long as Tannebaum doesn't screw anything up getting players.

DolphinsDraft ‏@DolphinsDraft now
Went to Michigan St, then LSU, then Det, SF, Den, Chi, worked as a scout, a QB coach, an OC, he's done a little bit of everything.
