the Packers refused to do it last year but supposedly all teams will wear it this upcoming year. doubt Mark will make a fuss, remember when he refused to put the gold 50 yard markers. we seen how that turned out.Won't believe the league will make us do it until I see them make the Colts and Steelers do it.
Other franchises with legacy uniforms who did it already wore alternates that fit the theme somewhat.
Aldon Smith has a long term plan in Oakland.
@VicTafur #Raiders wining & dining FA safety Reggie Nelson tonight, he will be at facility tomorrow. I expect deal to get done pending physical
Yep, I'm still on this train.
Cincinnati's decision to cut bait with Reggie Nelson simply hasn't settled down for me; admittedly, the commentary after George Iloka re-signed suggested a dissolution between the Bengals and Nelson. We're talking about a veteran who turned 32-years-old last September, with father time adding another digit in the next six months. Despite his age, and the strange concern it weighs on teams unwilling to offer job security beyond two years (which he reportedly rejected), this 32-year-old, who hasn't shown any depreciation last season, secured his best season.
Selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl, the first Pro Bowl in his career;
Tied for the league lead with eight interceptions (a career-best);
Secured an interception in five straight games, tying a franchise-best for consecutive games with at least one interception (Ken Riley, 1975);
Tied the franchise record for most interceptions by a safety during a single-season (David Fulcher, 1989);
Named to the Associated Press Second-team All-Pro Team;
Recorded an interception in six of the last seven regular season games against the Steelers.
This is a veteran player who hasn't slowed down. Cincinnati is interested enough in bringing Nelson back to the fold, having already offered Nelson a two-year deal that he already rejected. Head coach Marvin Lewis offered some optimism for Nelson fans, saying that "In any situation both parties have to agree to agree and we just haven't agreed to agree with Reggie yet."
Whatever. Roster building takes time, with many free agents re-signing well after March to competitive deals; it wouldn't be surprising.
Regardless, let's take a look at each of Nelson's interceptions in 2015.
yeah, I expect us to grab the next RAIDER great at safety in this years draft.
