"Unauthorized Authentics" - New style Carbon Fiber Jordan 11 Retro Breds

I'm new to the Jordan collecting scene and through reading this board and watching youtube videos, it seems like the way to tell authentic versus fake was always the carbon fiber.  But recently, it looks like the counterfeiters are producing a much better carbon fiber that is very hard to tell apart from the real thing.  Does anyone know approximately when these higher quality fakes started to surface?  From what I'm seeing it was the second half of 2015 but I have no idea if that's accurate. Thanks
 
I think since 2009 when the spacejams released. That's when they started to come out with special XI shoe boxes. You would think they were legit cause they had the box and everything included but somehow the carbon fiber looked good enough but also suspect. Before that it was very obvious if the carbon fiber was fake. Maybe somebody should post a pic of the carbon fiber from shoes that were bought from an actual retail store like foot locker, champs. Etc.

I'm not getting your point in all this tho. like I said, fakes have had cf for a couple years now. I hardly look at it when I do a lc
 
Just bought a 7210 from nike. I noticed that the carbon fiber of the right shoe is aomewhat rigid. You can feel the texture. However the left shoe is smooth. Is this difference possible? Or my pair is fake?
 
you got it from nike, does getting a fake pair from nike makes sense to you? its not fake. quality is just crappy
